The UK release, definitely. I don't even bother with the US Blu-ray releases, since the UK Blu-rays are just always of superior quality.

I'm getting both only because I love this film and don't want to wait around for the import. It's currently up for preorder on Amazon for $17.99, which seems a little pricey for a Full Moon release. Has anything been said about whether or not it's a new master? The DVD looked good for the most part but there's always room for improvement.

Yes, it's a new HD master that will be used for both the US and UK Blu-rays.

I'm guessing it's been pushed back by Full Moon.

Very rarely. I'm sure it'll show up for sale on their website first...like it usually does.

FM often gets free advertising by listing preorders everywhere, and then constantly "delays" them. Meanwhile they'll show up for sale on their website at inflated price + shipping. It's a good scam, they do it almost every time with their new releases.

I'll be keeping my preorder to keep my price locked in at £12.98, max.

I wouldn't bet on it. 88 Films has beaten Full Moon to Blu-Ray on a few occasions, even though the transfers are presumably coming directly from Full Moon itself.

So I don't get it, what source did the Japanese blu-ray release use? I would have assumed it'd be the same source as 88/full moon would use?

I might just import that Jap release. Fuck Full Moon and their endless delays.

I might just import that Jap release. Even if it's an old transfer it's 35 bucks plus shipping from Amazon.jp. I prefer this over waiting another 7 months.
