    From Troma's Facebook:

"Blu-Ray UPDATE: "Toxie II" and "Class of Nuke Em High 2" are FINALLY in-stock at www.tromashop.com! Amazon pre-orders will ship this week, apologies for the delay!"

So now they're putting 720p transfers on disc? What a load of rubbish. Troma had a pretty good track record with their blu's and now its turned to this. :bs:

Troma should just quit releasing BD´s and let other studios do the job for them.
What was the reason to downscale the transfer to 720p?

Have Lloyd lost his last marbles? Or is he just fucking with his fans?

Apparently the Blu-ray is not even 720p, it's 480i (720x480) DVD resolution... not even an upconvert.

And there is also no DTS-HD lossless sound like the review quotes.

Way to go Troma!!! Are they purposely just fucking stupid jerkoffs, or are they just really trying to say "Fuck you!!!" to everybody?

Yeah, just buy the 88 Films release, it's region-free and 1080p.

Wow, it just gets worse and worse. I don't even like the flick that much but this is just wrong. What makes it worse is 88Flims already did it right so why not just port that release? It just makes Troma look dumb as well as shifty.

Yup, I will never pre-order anything again that Troma are directly releasing, unless I've seen multiple positive reviews first.

Screw 'em... if they're just going to shit all over the format they should just stick to releasing DVD's. Lloyd can go fuck himself.

I commented (very nicely) to Troma on Facebook on considering a replacement program featuring the film in full 1080p and the correct audio track.

This is absolutely infuriating. What makes it even more frustrating is that they put out some good discs when they first got into hi-def. It's not like they always been putting out subpar blu's. WE KNOW they can do better, especially with 88 doing far superior work on the same exact films.

    On the bright side:

"2015, Troma issued a domestic US edition on Blu-ray (a combo pack with a DVD containing the unrated Tox Box pressing)"

So with every bad, comes some good. ^_^

    Yes, that's thrilling.

I'd be more interested to hear if they're even going to issue a statement about the Blu-ray screw up. It's obviously a stupid careless mistake, since a 480i encode isn't going to occupy 16GB of disc space... but the chances of Troma offering a replacement program are about slim to none for those who already have purchased it.
