Proof that some people are just stupid?

Seriously... it's not even sold out (or even released yet!) and people are paying $90 for it on ebay? :eek2:

Not sure if this was a completed auction when you posted it, but it is now and someone bought it! Ironic, there was one for $60 that didn't get a bid/sale, but the $89.95 does? Yeah, more money than brains. I understand that some people like and/or trust ebay more than other online places, but this is silliness. I should order a couple extra copies for ebay if they're getting this much before release, imagine what they will fetch when really sold out!

The auction was still active yesterday, but it was for a total quantity of two. Someone had already purchased one copy back on the 15th. It looks like the seller just ended the auction today.

I really hope this is coincednce, but right after pre-ordering this my credit card number was stolen and used excessively online for the next 5 days. Thankfully Discover is cool about these things, but I found a $444 change for auto-parts pending, then called and found out someone also ordered $5800 worth of furniture and tried to spend $8500 at Gamestop, all online. Could've been the most expensive bd ever but I caught it in time. Since my credit line is only about $4500, they obvilously didn't know and went for the stars.

I really doubt it was an issue with Screen Archives. I've been ordering from them for years via either Credit or Debit cards, and haven't had any problems.

They authorize your card at the time of the order (like many places), but they don't actually bill your card until the order actually ships.

If you pay with PayPal though, you pay right away.

Holy shit! Unbelievable how easy it seems to steal someone's info. Now that you mention this, on two occasions when I tried to go to the Screen Archives website to oerder FN a warning popped up that I was about to enter an unprotected website. Since I was using the computer at work I balked at entering the site and to this day I still haven't ordered a copy. This is probably unrelated to your situation but I'm paranoid about about buying stuff online, even from trusted sites.

To answer Stige's question regarding whether they charge right away or when they ship, when I ordered a copy of Mysterious Island I tried to use a gift card. The transaction was unsuccessful, probably because the card was short of funds a couple of bucks (I miscalculated the total amount I thought I'd pay). So, yeah, they'll likely charge you right away.

I have never been able to get a credit card, so I use Visa Gift Cards, and I only load in as much as I need when I'm ordering something on the net. It's safer than using an actual credit card, I think. Though, if you go with Green Dot, they do require you give them you Social Security # when registering it.

Great thing that my bank has "fake" credit cards...

They issue a temporary online credit card with the value of my choice that has valid date for 30 days... they know that card is related to my account but otherwise for the rest of the people that card donĀ“t exist.

Thinking more about it, I kinda doubt the site stole my info, and they haven't charged me yet either. I called em yesterday to tell them what happened and make sure I wouldn't lose my order waiting for a new legit card, they said shit like this happens all the time and don't worry. I didn't mention my card started getting weird charges after visiting them. Now I just wish Discover would tell me where all those tools and funrniture were supposed to ship to, I want to go visit that fucker myself. Even though it's more than likely someone I wouldn't know, I'd still love to "share my frustration" with them.

Just got an email saying mine is also on the way. After scanning over that review I can't wait, esp. as I've been wanting to watch this again for a couple months now but figured I'd just wait for the BD.
