Has anyone seen this rare low budget, 80's Slasher film, TWISTED NIGHTMARE?

I picked up the old VHS at the used video shop over the weekend. The film is about a group of teens who being stalked and killed by Matthew, a retarded teen they teased years ago. I'll be watching it this week, has anyone else seen this one?

I heard of it, but never saw it... It's pretty grade-Z stuff from what I heard.

I was so stunneed there was a slasher I hadn't heard of I went and looked this shit up at IMDb. Turns out, I had seen this ages ago under the name Ancient Evil. I remember the death scenes, which are very important to me, were kind of funny as they were kinda gory on no budget at all and that it was all nude all the time, but that is about it. Come back and tell us your impressions to refresh my memory. :glasses:

I've seen this one many years ago, released on video by TWE as I recall.
Very very low budget slasher but I kinda liked it.
Damn, it's been ages but I do remember that one cool death scene taking place in a car....
Ah well, wouldn't mind watching this one again someday.

I haven't got a chance to watch it yet, I've been so busy this week. I'll check it out this weekend for sure, and I'll post my thoughts on it.

It sounds like some people here remember this one, I always love finding old, rare, 80's Slasher films that I've never heard of before. The VHS that I picked up is on the old TWE Video label.

  11. Looks like I am not the only one anxious to hear how good this old slasher flick is! :D

Well, I had rented this tonight, incidentally... I can't recall seeing this before, but man I just can't dig it. Its same old shit, different pile and is about the same as Madman IMO as far as lameness goes.

I got a chance to watch TWISTED NIGHTMARE this past week, and I enjoyed it. The film is low budget, and the acting isn't all that great, but they make the most of their low budget, and there are some standouts in the cast.

Rhonda Grey who plays the lead is lovely, and was very good, and the film has some creative and sometimes gory death scenes. The above mentioned 'Killing in the car' is a stand out, and the film has some tense and creepy moments.

I love Slasher films, 70's, 80's, 90's, all of them! So, it's always exciting anytime I find a new Slasher to check out, and TWISTED NIGHTMARE was a very nice surprise. The film is worth seeking out, if you love Slasher films like I do.
