Woah woah woah...
Jud has a hearing aid??
This film...oh boy. The sister Zelda suffering from spinal meningitis was extreamly difficult to watch. Stephen King could never articulate anything as unsettling as those flashbacks in that film. I will be skipping this documentary and any repeat viewings of this film. I saw it once in the theater back in the day and that was enough for me.
But Zelda did look like a man, let's be for real about that. I don't know why we haven't had a spin-off film yet where Zelda runs like a Swiss boarding school and ravages live goats to freak the new students out.
Watching this on Prime. Really enjoying it so far.
Watched it this evening if your a fan of the movie you'll enjoy this, lots of informative stuff and everyone and their mom involved is interviewed.
Having just watched the overlong Leviathan doc on Arrow's Hellraiser blu-ray recently, this one blew it out of the water. I really loved how they tackled the film not just from the Hollywood perspective of the director and actors, but how it affected the Maine locals when Hollywood came to town.
While it seemed like the actual filming went pretty smoothly, there are a lot of great little stories to tell. Loved the picture of Charlie Sheen on the set posing with Pascow. Also had no idea Heather Langenkamp was on the set (in fact, her then boyfriend proposed to her while working on the film). Very interesting, considering Miko Hughes played her son in New Nightmare.
If you have Prime, definitely add it to your watchlist. Great stuff.
