    Unpopular opinion:

I don't care for the Coen Brothers. I find them to be condescending and puckish. Almost as if they're laughing at the audience. Hard to describe. The few films of theirs I like (Hudsucker Proxy and Intolerable Cruelty) are mostly dismissed by their fans.

I saw it at the picture show one lazy Saturday afternoon in a huge, empty THX auditorium. I liked it, too but I wanted more destruction action. I liked seeing then-rarely seen Shawnee Smith in a cameo.

And you never had a desire to watch your brother-in-law cry, either?

I wouldn't go as far as to say I don't care for them, but I've never been impressed by one of their films as much as everybody else seems to be. Fargo? OK. Big Lebowski? Didn't do much for me. O Brother Where art Thou? Meh. The Man Who Wasn't There? Slow.

I did really like No Country for Old Men, and I thought Burn After Reading was pretty funny, though. And I plan on watching True Grit soon. But I have zero interest in watching Inside Llewyn Davis. Critics seem to think it's some kind of a revelation. I couldn't be less intrigued.

Armageddon is definitely a guilty pleasure here as well. Sometimes I've just gotta watch a popcorn movie or read a stupid book as a palate cleanser in between heavier fare.

I dislike Robert Englund, but not enough to sink a film for me, fortunately.

Personally? He doesn't come across well in interviews (kind of pompous), but he's extremely friendly in person.

Well, the less dramatic real answer is that he once stiffed me for cab fare... But it left me very cross.

All the Boys Love Mandy Lane is an okay film with a major problem: Mandy Lane is REALLY not interesting, or even abnormally pretty enough to warrant so much obsession.

I guess that this doesn't qualify as unpopular opinion so much as it being fresh in my head after watching it on Netflix.

TRICK R TREAT is a beautiful looking film with a talented cast but the narrative is weak and the tone is very uneven.I really WANTED to love this after the long, long delay but it left me a bit flat.Loved ''Sam" though.

The American Cut of Profondo Rosso is a lot better than the director's cut. Apart from the scene at the beginning (the rehearsal) it is lenghty and drags a bit. The american cut does not betray the spirit of the original either. It is, simply put, better.

Creepshow 2 is infinitely better than Creepshow.

Didn't think much of the film and pretty much agree with you here.
