Saw this over in the Blu-ray.com forums.
Great news and oh yeah I forgot...Fuck you Paramount :fuck:
Love me them Warner Bros
^ OMG SICK. I hope this is true - boxset or not, I hope they get released!
Wonder if they'll carry over the special features is Warner does release them.
You'll excuse me if I don't get my hopes up yet again over this. I've heard so many stories about these blus coming out.
cool i hope they combine jason goes to hell and jason x as well
Knew it, knew it, knew it, knew it, knew it, mother f-ing knew this was gonna happen! Thank you Warners!
Does this finally mean we'll get definative box set that Paramount wouldn't/couldn't give us.
If they released parts 1-8 on Blu-ray in a set similar to the ANOES set, I'd buy it.
Well they might as well put out a complete set now with all films up to Jason X. I'll be buying it when it happens.
I'd definitely spring for a box set of the entire series. Or even parts 1-8 if released in irresistible quality.
/currently only own Jason X on dvd
But hopefully a F13 Blu-ray set from Warner doesn't have as cheap and shitty looking packaging as that set has.
I can actually see them doing this. They did it with NOES and now since Warner has the rights to ALL the films, this has huge potential to be a big seller, seeing as how we've NEVER had a boxset of the complete collection on any format.
My money's on next Sept
If WB packed as much content as possible on to the yet to be released blu-rays, as well as keep all of the current extras from the previously released blu-rays then I'd be a happy camper. An uncut status for all 8 movies will never happen, so I'll just be grateful for the bumped up resolution and for whatever deleted scenes that can be scrapped up. And even though having Jason Goes To Hell through Freddy Vs Jason would make the box set more complete, I think the first 8 Paramount movies should be the focus here...at least with this first possible all on blu-ray set.
I would still like to see a box set with atleast 1-10.
I've got a feeling WB won't release till Halloween 2013 though.
Just as long as they release them which is more than Paramount did.
I hope Warner makes a fortune on these films. I wonder what Paramount despises more, this series or the Blu-ray format in general.
