Huh , This has always been one of my favorite killer car movies. Plus you gotta love James Brolin.

    Review here: http://www.dvdtalk.com/reviews/70213/dungeonmaster-eliminators-the/

I should receive my copy tomorrow. If you love 80's Empire films, it's hard not to enjoy these two.

Finally got around the checking out The Island for the first time tonight.. The transfer looks really good but the movie ran too long and wore its welcome out. It could have been 1.35 mins.. It did however have some really cool shots and scenery . But overall not too good. and some decent gore. Specially the beginning scene with the attack.. But even mikey caine doesn't wanna remember this one.. But fans of the film will like the 2.35 widescreen transfer...

    new scream factory announcement

If you're into snakes then we have a film for you: The 1973 cult classic called SSSSSSS (don't say it, hiss it) will be slithering its way to the Blu-ray format for the first time sometime in late Spring/early Summer! Stars Heather Menzies (Piranha), Dirk Benedict (Battlestar Galactica) and Reb Brown (Yor, the Hunter from the Future).

Shout kind of screwed up on The House Where Evil Dwells/Ghost Warrior Blu-ray...

The House Where Evil Dwells only takes up right under 11.5GB on the disc, even though it's an 88 minute movie. Compression artifacts are sometimes quite evident.

Ghost Warrior takes up 17.7GB on the disc, even though its shorter being only an 81 minute movie.

The disc only takes up 29.9GB total, so there was far more space available... it really makes no sense why they didn't up the bitrate on The House Where Evil Dwells.

Really dig this one so I might pick it up (I say might due to the high prices of SF)

Wasn't the old Sssssss DVD an edited version? I have a vague recollection of reading something was missing from the old DVD. Haven't seen the movie in years so I can't recall what might have been cut.

Never heard that. I thought that it was a TV movie. Can't remember if it was released theatrically or not. The first time I ever saw the film was on TV, but I always thought it was made for TV. I will definitely pick this up on Blu.

There are theatrical posters for this film so it wasn't made for TV. I have a British Quad for the film.

I just recently watched this for the first time with a buddy and we both loved it. It was a part of a 4 pack from Scream Factory and we went in knowing nothing about it. As for the "Editing" that's because while filming they had nudity and then the producers decided in post that they wanted a PG rating so they superimposed images to cover up any nudity, that's about it. I don't believe an "uncut" version exists because it was released as PG right from the get go.
