Exorcist III should be coming from Morgan Creek/Warners. However, there has been no news since Blatty mentioned in late December that his 'director's cut' was coming to video.

I have the limited Steelbook version and looking at the screencaps the new one looks better. I really don't want to buy this again....

Same here. $15 is the most I'd spend. I have the Second Sight steelbook and the Fox blu-ray's.

The Curse / Curse II: The Bite [Double Feature]

I agree. The new transfer looks great but I'm likely to wait for it to get to $15 or less before I double dip.

    Scream Factory is releasing Carrie!

"Hot on the heels of the new documentary De Palma comes news that the breakthrough movie of its subject — legendary filmmaker Brian De Palma — will celebrate its 40th anniversary in grand style. EW can exclusively reveal that horror-oriented imprint Scream Factory is celebrating four decades of the director’s classic Stephen King adaptation Carrie with a 2-disc collector’s edition Blu-ray set.

Available Oct. 11, the set features a 4K scan of the film’s original negative and nearly three hours of bonus features, including a featurette which revisits the film’s original locations, and new interviews with writer Lawrence D. Cohen, editor Paul Hirsch, actors Piper Laurie, P.J. Soles, Nancy Allen, Betty Buckley, William Katt, Edie McClurg, casting director Harriet B. Helberg, and director of photography Mario Tosi.

More details can be found at the Shout! Factory website, where buyers can also benefit from a special offer or a deluxe special offerwhen preordering the set.

You can exclusively see the Carrie Blu-ray set’s cover artwork above and, below, slipcovers and posters available for those who purchase via the website."

Yeah. I just shit my pants.

4K!!?? I can't wait to see how this looks. This is one of my favorite movies of all time. It's always looked pretty bad. Has it EVER been restored from the negatives?

I remember people saying that the negatives for Carrie were in very rough shape and it wasn't worth what it would cost to restore it. Maybe that was Shout's way of misleading fans.

This has become my most anticipated release of the year. I can't wait.

    ~Matt
