Yeah you're probably right bit that goofiness mixed in lessens that depressing tone. Then you're left with the depressing ending which makes it feel worse, not that I liked the main character enough to care.

    I suspect it'll be reversible.

Too bad the poster is not reversible. I am a big fan of David Lynch and this film. Wild At Heart is most definitely deserving of a Collector's Edition. I just won't buy this direct from Shout Factory. The poster art sucks, but that won't stop me from enjoying this. Have to say that this was a surprise announcement indeed from Shout.

Whattt? That cover art is awesome! Looks similar to the covers for To Live and Die in LA and Red Dawn, which also looked great.

Yeah, looks like a real water color (not some Photoshop [even if it may be]) so I was thinking of springing for the poster too. Oddly tasteful which is even better.

With free shipping at $50.01 though it'll have to be the right combination.

I don't like it. It's too pink and is something I'd completely look over if I saw it in a store.
I'm personally used to seeing this one associated with the film.

Just seen this one too and love it. Now that's a cover that has my interest.

Nice, I actually own the rare one of the bunch SCCtM with the even rarer Shorts Volume 3 special order disc Rhino offered direct. But none of the others. So I'll bite.

    Don't forget the extras:
Rather surprised they don't have extras for SCCtM. Maybe extras for Eegah will accompany the Watch Out for Snakes probable release?

Never saw this poster of Wild At Heart before. I love it! You get Cage in the snakeskin jacket, Dafoe with the shotgun, and best of all Dern in an outfit not quite appropriate for a long road trip.

Don't know about that. From a famous comedian joke about a black family on Family Feud....

"Name something you take with you on a long trip."

    "Some pussy, Richard."

Wow, haven't seen Caged Fury in forever.

If I'm not mistaken, this is the one where (MAJOR SPOILERS):
At the end of the movie, you find out the women are actually being held captive in a movie set on Hollywood Blvd under the guise of being a prison. When they finally escape, the prison exit dumps them right in the middle of Hollywood Blvd, where a bunch of women in skimpy prison outfits are running around in a panic in front of Grauman's Chinese Theater.
