They don’t act like they have no choice, they simply HAVE no choice. Warner doesn’t region lock their own releases because they own their films outright, but if they license them to a distribution company like Shout, they have to region lock them for that territory.

Just like how Paramount and Universal don’t region lock their own releases but the Shout edition of The Burbs (a Universal title), for example, was locked to region A just as the Arrow edition was locked to region B.

I think Scream For Help would be my Warner Holy Grail. I can't believe that never made it to DVD, even through Warner Archives.

Now that Scream has announced Someone's Watching Me, I hope we will soon be getting From Beyond the Grave and The Hand. All of them were packaged together years ago on DVD in the Twisted Terror collection from Warner.

That poor man. All that he has given the world (let alone his family) and he has to put up with a crazy-ass wife and greedy kids. It makes me sick when this happens to our very elderly celebrities.

I want that old 1983 Britan Flick Screamtime on Blu Ray Scream Factory..It's a goofy anthology flick, the old man with the puppet screaming Thats the way, thats the way, thats the way while beating someone over the head always gets me lol...Much better flick than some of the other shit they have been releasing.

If the films were indeed listed as the properties in an irrevocable trust, then they technically weren't Corman's to sell anymore. And Shout likely won't be gaining them after all.

Of course the kids could be full of it on what was in the trust, or if the trust was irrevocable , or exists, or....

I could be wrong in my interpretation, but I believe previous Corman v. Corman lawsuits have basically sided with the elder Cormans regarding New Horizons Picture Corporation / Concorde-New Horizons.

OH MY GARSH...mine too! That is the most whack but fun thriller ever. Afterschool Special on acid, that is. Good call!

I love those. I hope they get some input from Adrienne Barbeau for Someone's Watching Me.

Even better would be commentary with Barbeau AND Lauren Hutton. Even if it's barebones I'm excited to upgrade this one. I actually prefer it to a lot of later Carpenter.

I watched Scream's Nightmare At Noon disc last night. A Nico Mastorakis film I had never seen before!

It was fun in spurts, but far from his best. Wings Hauser and Bo Hopkins had a Mutant reunion, Kimberly Beck has a fun role but could have been in it more, and George Kennedy makes every movie better. It reminded me of a corny '80s version of Phantoms (the Dean Koontz adaptation), only this one goes in a radically different direction for it's helicopter chase finale. I got a little bored in some stretches.

Even though there are no extras listed on the case, the blu-ray does include the 37-minute "Making Of Nightmare At Noon" segment from the terrific "Films Of Nico Mastorakis" documentary (for the full documentary, pick up Arrow's Island Of Death blu-ray), as well as a Photo Gallery and Trailer.

The disc itself is solid, the movie itself is just so-so. If you're going to grab a Nico film on blu-ray, The Zero Boys definitely takes top priority (loved hearing the score sampled here during the helicopter chase).
