I like it. It's not a great film by any means, but certainly not boring. It's basically Sci-fi/Horror, but focuses more on the Sci-fi element in the plot...though it tends to rebound in the horror field nearer to the end of the film. There's some decent gore here and there. The film has a weird Euro vibe to it (shot in Spain) even though its director and main cast are all American. Lynn-Holly Johnson, Martin Hewitt and Dennis Christopher make an odd trio of friends on a European getaway, that's for sure... in a camper towing a dune buggy no less! The dune buggy does come in handy, as there are quite a few chases and such in the film.

MGM previously released it as a DVD-R under the alternate title "The Falling" a few years back. I received the Blu-ray a couple of weeks ago from Shout, and the HD transfer looks pretty good. Bonus features include the Trailer and an Audio Commentary by the director, Deran Sarafian. I haven't had a chance to listen to the audio commentary yet, but the film was apparently a troubled production in more ways than one.

I saw it years ago on NetFlix under the title The Falling. I love the three leads in their other films, but this one, I just remember the entire movie being nothing but them driving around. Pretty boring.

Wasn't sure where else to put this and it wasn't worth starting a new thread.

One of Scream Factory's IFC Titles The Pack is expiring from NetFlix on 7/5.

This is one of those movies I really wanted to see, but it got lost in my never-ending NetFlix queue. I'll definitely have to check it out in the next week before it goes away.

Just thought I'd give a warning if anyone else is in the same boat. It's an Australian killer dog movie, for those unfamiliar.

The Pack was fun but I still prefer the 1977 film more.

    Fantastic movie, but seems unnecessary.

Can't imagine what Scream Factory will bring to the table aside from a slipcover, and the original blu-ray already has a fantastic slipcover.
