^Yeah, I am willing to part with my poster and blu if someone wants to buy it from me. Keeping the Angela figure though. The poster is probably in the same, dented condition. Never checked.
The Angela figure looks great though.
I think NECA should release blurays a this point as their figures are better than Shout's releases, anyway.
Speaking of, I forgot that I hate steelbooks. It's such a bitch to get the discs out. I was worried I might snap the disc.
Is there a trick I'm missing?
I hate to complain...but I just opened up the nice and intact tubes containing the HALLOWEEN 2 AND 3 posters. H3 was rolled to harshly - creating long verticals dent all the way across. H2 has a 2 inch tear on the side and a 3/4 inch tear on the bottom border. They would have been perfect otherwise.
The Thing steelbook litho was intact, very nice. I think I'm done for now with the litho/blu combos. The shipping is way too iffy.
Actually you have a right to complain. That sounds pretty bad. Better check my posters now. I only have ROTLD 2 and NOTD. If we can't complain about this then they shouldn't complain about having to resend everyone new replacements. Maybe Shout should get off their asses and ship items themselves instead of outsourcing.
It seems that Shout! Factory is going out of it's way to discourage people from doing that.
The [relatively] short version: Shout! Factory and it's distributor, Cinedigm, have opted for Minimum Advertised Pricing (MAP) set at or around the MSRP on a number Shout!'s titles, and Cinedigm is strictly enforcing these restrictions on retailers. Shout! is not enforcing this tactic on it's own storefront.
I watched this last night. I can't quite figure out what Shout is doing. If they're trying to cut out retailers to draw customers to order direct from their website they fucked up monumentally with all the delays and shipping issues they've had the last month or so. I'd much rather order from Grindhouse or Diabolik than take a chance with the Shout warehouse. Even before their recent problems they were never especially reliable.
The MAP pricing issue I can sort of understand but Amazon is the one they should be going after since they undercut prices to where no one else can compete. I hope this move might actually help smaller retailers since Amazon will no longer have the low prices they can't compete with. I've been looking for the best deal for Creepshow and it's sat at $35 pretty much everywhere. I finally placed an order at Grindhouse because I know it will come shipped in a box rather than taking a chance with Amazon and a bubble mailer. I know he mentions he can't compete with Amazon's free shipping but like I said, free shipping doesn't mean much if items come damaged half the time.

Edit: Sorry Zbinks, I didn't notice your post with the same info.
zbinks posted that in this thread on Monday morning baggio.
Over the past couple of years I've been buying less and less Shout Factory because I can get them in better quality, more extras and ultimately cheaper when importing from England or Europe. And if I can't, in less than a year I probably can. And if I can't then it's forgotten in my mind and I end up living without it.
I just checked and after 11 months this year the only thing I bought from them was Hell Night and that's because I managed to get it for $16.25 from DeepDiscount. And it sounds like those days are done. So yeah, I'm gonna have to get their MST3k releases because they're the only source but outside of that I just figure I'll get any other title bigger/better/cheaper from another distributor. Either internationally or a few years from now when a title inevitably changes hands.

Caps-A-Holic comparison for Night of The Demons 4K Remaster!:
I'm on mobile, so I haven't had a chance to check out the comparison caps. However, one thing I noticed is that the opening and end credits are littered with white specs and debris like their SNDN transfer. The movie itself looked great though.
Fucking shout factory cunts! I've noticed their prices have gone up, they are stupid expensive now and I've brought none, if they continue this way, that's the level of purchases from me in the future, wankers.
