**APRIL FOOL’S DAY Update**
But before we leave to celebrate Thanksgiving this week, we'll leave you with more information on another upcoming holiday! ;-) Details we have on our upcoming Blu-ray at the moment are as follows:
• National street date for North America (Region A) is March 24th.
• This is being presented as a Collector’s Edition and will come guaranteed with a slipcover in its first three months of release.
• The newly-commissioned "doll-ed" up artwork you see pictured on the left comes to us from artist Yannick Bouchard. (And if you know the film this makes perfect sense) This art will be front-facing and the reverse side of the wrap will feature the classic original theatrical artwork (pictured on the right).
• New extras are in progress and will be announced on a later date but we can confirm today that we have several cast and crew already on board and we plan to load it up as much as possible!
Pre-order now directly from us @ https://www.shoutfactory.com/…/april-fool-s-day-collector-s…
The first 500 orders from our site will receive an exclusive limited-edition 18” x 24” rolled poster of the exclusive new illustration.
That new art work is pretty shit!
Yeah let's get excited about cast interviews, yeah!!!!!! This obviously means no deleted footage, the only extra I think most people want.
If it was a poster of the original artwork, I'd possibly jump at pre-ordering it direct... but that new artwork is pretty hideous. It makes it look like some new DTV movie from Lionsgate.
While I agree that the new artwork isn't the best I'm still a big fan of different images. It's so boring to see the same artwork for every country (at least to me as a poster collector).
I actually don't mind the artwork. It reminds me of those old 80s teen horror book covers. And at least it's different than the usual Scream Factory face montage artwork.
The art isn't terrible in general but I do think it looks pretty terrible for this movie. Like Kat said, it looks like some new DTV title.

Looking at The Fly (1958) in the DVDBeaver comparison, Scream seems to have a better encode.
That said, the extras for Sliding Doors have been revealed!:
"NEW Audio Commentary with Writer/Director Peter Howitt
NEW "The Sliding Doors Moments" – A Feature-Length Documentary Looking Back At The Making Of The Film; Including Exclusive Home Movie Footage And Brand-New Interviews With Peter Howitt, Stars Gwyneth Paltrow And John Hannah, And More
NEW A Stroll Through Sliding Doors London With Peter Howitt
Optional English subtitles for the main feature"
And coming soon; Bug:
Coming in March:
Shout Factory has a few of their going out of print titles on sale for Cyber Monday. A few other good prices as well
I'm excited about Insemonoid, as I find it to be hugely enjoyable (if not quite legitimately good), but not enough to spring for the UK Norman J Warren set, which otherwise consists of films I don't really need in my collection (I wasn't into Terror at all in my first and only viewing, and Prey doesn't look like my cup of tea).
Bug I remember as being longer than it needed to be. It's in the maybe pile.
I caved and grabbed the SNDN 2 limited edition. That Ricky figure is too stupid for me to pass up.
It'll be worth $40 just to see the look on my poor wife's face. "But Honey, it's GARBAGE DAY!"
I can't wait for the doll that'll come with SNDN5: The Toymaker!
We need Joe Petto as well--a plastic monument to Mickey Rooney's hypocrisy.
