Only getting the first film mainly for the extended TV version wonder if Walmart is gonna carry the first film in stores?
I'm more curious about how 2-5 are going to look. And with all five films it seems possible big upgrades in picture are the only things new..
HALLOWEEN - I'm glad to be seeing this release soon. I WAS hoping, however, we could see those Don May-discovered reels of alt scenes and such this time 'round.

I'm excited to see 4 finally look like hi-def. It has never had a good transfer. I love 4 and especially 5, and I'm almost more excited to revisit these two during the season than I am for Halloween Kills.
Might get part 2 also since its my favorite sequel found a shirt of part 2 at Walmart. Wonder if they'll get the 4k combo packs in store or not of the Halloween films?
Coming December 21st: No details on the transfer or new extras yet. The old Blu-ray dates back to 2013.
I already have the original U.S. blu-ray release as well as the UK and German. The newly announced edition at minimum has superior artwork to the original and will hopefully offer a new scan and new bonus features.

Elvira's Haunted Hills arrived today. I was surprised to find the slipcover was like the one Creepshow has. I was expecting something more traditional. I really hope the Halloween movies aren't too badly interrupted by the recent post office slowdown. It'll really f'--k up my month if they don't get here relatively soon.

Shame to hear about the Mono audio. Worst case scenario, if Shout! doesn't fix (though I'm sure they will if we tell them) it at least we have the original unaltered Mono. In some shots, the new UHD looks better, and in some, the older looks better. Same with Scott being involved in every re-release of Alien. I don't think they even know what it was supposed to look like anymore, or they can't make up their mind And about Halloween 2 Highdefdigest review: "I haven’t felt the need to bring this up with the other releases, but a quick note about the included 1080p Blu-ray presentation - while I liked the color timing and how it’s darn close to the actual 4K disc, it looks a bit softer than expected. Compared to the 2012 disc, it’s not as sharp-looking. You might have noticed this from the screencaps I’ve included for this review. You get a sense of the color timing, and details are strong in the 2021 Blu-ray, they’re just not as crisp as I’d expected. I thought I was seeing things so I did a long disc flipping session between the 2012 Blu-ray, the 2021 Blu-ray, and the 4K disc. The 4K disc doesn’t have this issue and offers much cleaner details over the 2012 disc. So, fair warning there if you're buying this set for the 1080p Blu-ray and aren't rolling 4K yet. I hope to be able to rip the 4K disc and update the image selection for all of the reviews very soon so you get the full range of details."
Seen a lot of people online saying part 2 is backordered most places . I have Halloween on hold but just waiting for part 2 to arrive at my record store. Which just got 1 and 4 and this morning part III. But no 2 or 5 yet!
Good to know! I've been ready to pull the trigger on the Elvira set but there's nothing else of theirs I want in order to get free S&H. Hopefully at least one of these titles will be desirable enough for me to buy.
I received 1, 3, 4, 5 from Bull Moose earlier today. They shipped 2 a day later, so that should probably arrive to me tomorrow... for whatever reason they received their shipment for that particular title last. I also received Elvira's Haunted Hills release today. It has the same nice "Hardcover" Slipcase that the Halloween titles have. I wonder if Shout are planning to use those on more titles then? They're definitely far nicer than their thin Slipcovers.
