Slumber party massacre remake is out tomorrow Walmart should have the DVD for 12.96 no blu-ray of course. Will be picking it up along with the new Ghostbusters afterlife blu-ray DVD combo
My Vampire Lovers replacement disc was delivered today. No tracking ever showed up in USPS Informed Delivery... but it arrived fast considering the email that stated a 1/31 shipment date. It arrived in the standard rigid disc mailer (the disc inside a separate paper sleeve) that's came from them previously.
I never received any ship confirmation either but mine arrived a few days back so I was happy. Now I'm just waiting for Vinegar Syndrome to ship out the Flesh For Frankenstein disc.
I didn't receive that with my January VS subscription package either, and apparently a lot of others also didn't. Has any other VS subscriber here actually received the Flesh For Frankenstein replacement disc?
I didn't, but I have a feeling it can be attributed to the east / west split in shipping. Colorado shipments, like mine, seemingly didn't include the disc, while those that probably came from Bridgeport did. I haven't been following that closely, but most of the comments I've seen, one way or the other, seem to fall into these splits.
Yeah they can keep it if it's the theatrical cut. The film sucks. I watched it twice and both times was a struggle to get through. I'd be more than curious to check out Craven's original film seeing as so much of it seems to be different.
Yeah, this really pisses me off... "Cursed was announced in October 2002 and was planned for release the following summer. The production would reunite Craven with Scream and Scream 2 screenwriter Kevin Williamson, and acclaimed horror makeup artist Rick Baker would design the monster. Filming began in March 2003 and by early summer was around 90% complete. In this version, Ellie Hudson (Ricci), Jimmy Myers (Eisenberg), and Vince Winston (Skeet Ulrich) are total strangers who are all attacked after their cars crash in the Hollywood Hills. In Williamson's original screenplay, the mystery centers on a rampaging serial killer who is revealed only in a twist ending to have been a werewolf. Unhappy with the film in progress, producer Bob Weinstein shut down production until December, when shooting resumed with a brand-new script. The serial-killer storyline was changed to bring the werewolf to reveal to the forefront; Ulrich, whose character had been drastically altered in the rewrite, quit the production, requiring an additional rewrite that removed him entirely. Costar Mandy Moore was unable to return for the reshoots, and her role was recast.[1] Previously filmed scenes featuring Illeana Douglas, Omar Epps, Corey Feldman, Scott Foley, Robert Forster, and Heather Langenkamp were also scrapped. Three weeks of reshoots, followed by another 10-day reshoot with a rewritten ending, pushed filming into mid-2004, and the release was rescheduled for that October. By then, however, Weinstein was still unsatisfied with the film and ordered the gory effects cut down so that it could receive a PG-13 rating. Nearly all of Rick Baker's practical werewolf costumes and other special effects were all deleted and replaced with CGI."
Just placed an order for both Alligator movies missed out on the poster but can't wait to own these haven't seen the extended cut ever. And part 2 since good ol' video VHS days.
What a cunt!! These are the people who made Scream for fuck sake, leave em alone let them finish and reap the rewards! Look what you ended up with!!! The PG-13 version I imagine is complete dog shit. Glad you lost money you complete cock womble
I guess I didn't look closely at the extras for Alligator the first time, but looking now I did a double-take: - NEW Gator Guts, The Great River, And Bob – An Interview With Production Assistant, Now Famous Actor/Director/Producer, Bryan Cranston Yes, that Bryan Cranston. Breaking Bad, Malcolm In The Middle, etc. How cool of him to take time for this. Hopefully if / when we get that blu-ray of The Companion, he will be on it!
I'm in for both Alligators. Both should be welcome upgrades. Also pre-ordered for Sword and the Sorcerer.
