From the minds that brought you Stacy and Tokyo Gore Police comes Vampire Girl vs. Frankenstein Girl, featuring The 13th Nationwide High School Student Wrist Cut Rally.

Big fan of Stacy so I'm in.

I am certain I will have to see this... (even though I hated Stacy and was disappointed by Tokyo Gore Police, I just can't resist movies like this... I have to see them at least once)

I still want to check out Stacy sometime- this looks like it could be a good cheesy gore flick

Could be wrong but I suspect that this is not a loyal adaptation of Mary Shelley's novel.

I might be misremembering the novel, but based on the trailer I'd say it looks pretty dead-on (except for the location change to Japan of course)

I actually loved Tokyo Gore Police but didn't enjoy Stacy but this one looks like it could be pretty damn entertaining. I'll check it out.

caught a bit of this last night, a friend showed me a screener. The issue was a very politically incorrect sideplot, namely a group of girls in blackface. It was in very poor taste, and it will be a tough sell to the US as a result. We're debating whether or not to show it at our film festival, and the blackface part is what's keeping the film out at the moment.

Wonderful, I can't wait to see it. I'm not going to say you have to show it, but you'll be less of a man to me if you don't. ;)

Well, I guess my manhood is intact, 'cause we're gonna show it as long as we can get a print (never a guarantee)

This was one of the worst movies I have ever seen. It makes 30 Days of Night: Dark Days look like Hitchcock's lost masterpiece in comparison.

Even Stacy looks like the work of a genius in comparison.

Holy shit I hated this movie. On the plus side, I have now cured any interest in this genre I might have had, and can resist seeing any more of these brain-damaging turds (even though I like Machine Girl and Sukeban Deka).

Yep, Tokyo Gore Police was night and day better, as meh as it was (TGP wasn't actually that bad, but not as good as Machine Girl).

Well I liked Stacy and since I hear TGP is bad for those who hated Versus I'm guessing I would enjoy Vampire Girl vs. Frankenstein Girl based on what you two have said. :D

So the gloss has gone from Jap Horror finally?

Personally i gave up a few years ago. they cant seem to either tell a straight story or even a logical one.

Finally watched this and yes it was very bad. The only saving graces were the cute girls and over the top gore. Gave it a 3 out of 10.
