Did some math. If you buy all 5 Vestron Video Collector's Series from DDD it comes to $24.82 a piece(shipping included) Using the Fall15 coupon.

    Blood Diner $27.99
    Chud II $29.16
    Chopping Mall $27.99
Return of the Living Dead 3 $29.16
    Waxwork I/II $31.66

If you buy all 5 Vestron Video Collector's Series from Blowitoutofhere it comes to $26.92 a piece(shipping included)

Here's the thing the prices at Blowitoutofhere are cheaper. It's the shipping that puts it over.

    Blood Diner $25.80
    Chud II $23.85
    Chopping Mall $25.80
Return of the Living Dead 3 $23.85
    Waxwork I/II $25.80

These prices are very similar to Diabolik, and that's a guy selling them out of his garage.

And forget Amazon prices as of right now.

So my guess is that these titles are gonna be at some point $20 and under. Crossed fingers, it's a chance to take. The chance being they go out of print. But Lionsgate should be at least more clear with the consumer on whether these are limited in number or not.

P.S. - I know it sounds like I'm cheap or something but it's not the case. If they dropped to $20 a piece, I would save $24.10(going on the DDD coupon sale) Not exactly breaking the bank. It's the principle, it's like you were taken for a sucker. It would be like walking into Home Depot, buying a hammer, and just as you're getting into the car, balloons/sirens go off & the store announces their annual hammer sale.

I ordered Chopping Mall and Blood Diner yesterday at $22.94 each, but will wait on the rest.

The SRP on CHUD and Return is $5 lower than the rest ($34.99), so I imagine you'll be able to find those for $20 or less if you play your cards right.

I preordered Waxwork at full price and it's dropped slightly since then. I'm sure these will all eventually drop, but Waxwork is important to me and I'd rather know I have a copy than sweat $10.

I feel the same way but usually only if the title has a limited pressing.

Now that the DDD sale is over. Blood Diner & Chopping Mall both dropped $1. Not much, but this is what I'm talking about.

I used my points at Bull Moose today to buy Chopping Mall for half off ($12.50). I think it looks as good as one could possibly hope for it to wish for, and my lord what a treasure trove of extras! At least that's what they appear to be because I have yet to take a full gander. I think that it has been a long time since I have bought a non Arrow disc with this many goodies (I only buy a fraction of what I used to).

Watched Chopping Mall yesterday. Not the best transfer in the world, obviously, but holy hell is it a colossal step up from the previous DVD. The colors really popped, especially primaries like red. I think this is probably the best the film will ever look.

I got the disc last week, and I was impressed by the transfer, especially the colors :)

They did a great job on the extras as well.

For non region A users, I tried chopping mall in my region B player, it works, once the wrong region message appears press stop, then top menu and your in, would imagine the others will be pressed the same, if this trick has worked for you before then it will work here.

Anyone see early reviews yet for Waxwork/WWII? We are a week away from release. (Panting.)

Whoa, I had no idea the street date is next Tuesday! I knew it was an October title, I guess I'm losing track of time. Jeez. So no reviews yet? There's zero chatter on BR.com about this, which surprises me. Personally I'm not crazy anticipating this one as much as I did Chopping Mall but it's on my wishlist. It's $30 on Amazon currently, which is about $6 more than my ideal price range for this.

You can pick it up for about $25 from other online retailers.(see earlier post) I still think these could go even lower. I think $18 would be a fair price for all of these Vestron titles. My only fear, is that they will be limited, but nothing so far says they are.

I buy very few films nowadays, so this is my most anticipated release! Cannot wait to see the transfer and finally get away from the previous R1 release, which had that odd 'ghosting' effect in a few scenes. Plus, audio commentaries and hopefully the original unrated cut!
