That thread's an unwieldy mess. I think it's good to have dedicated posts for updates, news, preorders, covers, reviews, etc.; I usually break off the titles I'm excited for anyway. Otherwise a lot gets lost in the shuffle.

As I said in the thread before, wouldn't this be the first time Pit and the Pendulum would be released on DVD/blu-ray mastered from the original elements? The Midnite Movie release, if I recall correctly, was non-anamorphic and a port from the old laserdisc. If this is the case then this alone would make it worth the upgrade.

The TGG Direct rereleases of PIT AND THE PENDULUM were a newer anamorphic print than the original MGM DVD. However, they're interlaced and drop the extras.

Love to get this but it is SO close to being a full Corman/Price/Poe set.Pitty they couldn't include TOMB OF LIGEA (if they wanted JUST Price films they could pass on THE PREMATURE BURIAL).A SECOND Price set could have included the two PHIBES films,Witchfinder General,Theater of Blood and Madhouse.

Still, not gonna look a gifthorse in the mouth. This sounds great ,love to have it.

Nice artwork, but kind of disappointed the films won't get individual artwork.

The art looks nice. I'm glad they didn't over do it with the scratched-wax look everyone else does these days.

Love the cover art. Have to purchase this, even though me and my husband own a few on Blu-Ray. Would have been nice if they had the sequel to Dr Phibes, but maybe in the future
