The good news is you'll have this stuck in your head for the next month:
LOL - I’ve been singing that crap all day. My wife is going to choke me out.
What’s the first picture? Second is Body Melt? Third looks familiar.
Grave Robbers. Which is a great little movie, one of my favorites from VS this year.
Sounds interesting, I'll keep an eye out for it.
Was anyone else really impressed with Sudden Fury? I watched it the other week, and found it to be a gem... very Hitchcockian crime/thriller.
I really liked it and hope they pursue more Canuxploitation. However, the ending felt unresolved.
Instead of going one way or the other, they throw in one last minute bit of dialogue to make it wishy washy. I know that's vague, but I'm trying to avoid spoilers because I don't think too many have seen it (I believe the VS blu is the first home video release, so it has been pretty much MIA since theaters).
is the 3rd picture The Strangeness?
The 3rd image is probably a bit misleading as...
Hmmm. That last shot looks something like Brett Piper's Drainiac. So would it be like a comedy horror at least? Like an Elvira or Dead Heat kind of film?
In case anyone missed it, the New Year's title is, in fact, Bloody New Year.
I, too, enjoyed SUDDEN FURY and wrestled quite a bit with the ending. After thinking about it awhile and writing down my thoughts I respect the ambiguous ending - in ways leaving the resolution up the legal process seems like a darker ending than you'd typically see drawn up for these kind of flicks. They say that really terror in a horror film is the unseen - well here it's the unknown, and how even good people can find themselves teetering on the edge of destruction.
Haha, this one is pretty great. Reminds me of another little lounge act banger from NEON MANIACS, the panty dropper "Baby Lied":
Ryan of VS posted this news:
Hmmm I guess this is easy money for Vinegar Syndrome but I think it's too much for me. I like having slipcovers and Vinegar's are the top of the line but I don't really want to go back and re-slip all my old movies. I guess I can go through and find some favorites that I wouldn't mind having slips for but I can't see spending a ton just for cardboard covers.
(But I hope they do one for Graduation Day)
Now the question. What will the slips cost?
One of VS's DVD only releases, Sometimes Aunt Martha Does Dreadful Things, will be airing on TCM Underground tonight at 2:15AM.
If you've never seen it, set those DVRs!
I see 5 Films 5 Years Volume #2 has only 89 copies left. Volume #1 is sold out. Volumes 3 & 4 have plenty of copies.
^ I liked The Muthers a lot.
Haven't watched Murder on the Emerald Seas yet, and the other three films were rather forgettable. Dungeon of Harrow was a near-miss, a little better production value and slightly faster pace and it would have been passable.
