Four UHD 4k releases planned for 2020? Very interesting. What's especially noteworthy is the fact that this open commitment will undoubtedly catch the attention of other distributors. And we can probably assume these will be lower tier catalog films. I wonder what titles these will be. Should be an interesting year.

Plus two Euro Horror/Giallo boxsets? They haven't done much in this realm so I'm curious what titles they've picked up. Last couple of years I haven't been too interested in their output but what they've revealed so far is tantalizing to say the least.

I also read somewhere it's one of Steve Martin's favorite movies. Director/writer Nelson Lyon was an early writer for SNL, and was with John Belushi when he died (some blame Lyon for Belushi's death)

I'm considering buying the yearly Horror/Exploitation subscription, but I just spent $600 on tires 2 weeks ago so I really shouldn't. If you break it down it's only a bit over $50 a month, but dropping that much all at once is a bit scary for me given my current job. I do have about a hundred movies I've been meaning to sell, giving Vinegar Syndrome $640 would probably motivate me to get off my ass and start listing them online.

I got in at the outset of the sale and scored the LE's of Jack Frost and The Undertaker. I'm a subscriber, so I didn't need to sweat over the mystery titles. I did miss the posting that Horror House on Highway 5 and Hellbent got restocked, but managed to score the former after seeing a post from someone who had gotten one. The latter was already gone. I'm eyeing The Killing Kind and Sudden Fury, and will for sure get the Christmas Evil slip, and probably Savage Dawn with the discount. I've got the Chris Miller code written down somewhere, too, to take a bit more off. Count Dracula's Great Love is also a possibility. I'm not getting anything in December (not a Completionist subscriber) so I want to make that final shipment as robust as possible!

It's a good chunk of change, one that I can't afford at this point. Too bad, too, because the Euro horror and giallo sets due in 2020 are right up my alley. Anyway, if you think you can sell enough to cover the cost, or at least a good portion of it, you should go for it.

That way, I can live vicariously through you for a year. :D

I wish I knew about the Chris Miller code before I headed out of state for the holiday. By the time I'm back home, the sale will be over.

I did get to visit Blairstown from Friday The 13th again while I'm here though, so that was fun!

I’m going onsite to the Archive today at noon to do my shopping and there apparently is some surprise from 12-4. Maybe a guest appearance? I saw some pic of F13 Part II and Madman soundtracks - not sure that has anything to do with it.

They mentioned it is a signing event related to Spookies. Not sure who though.

Went to The Archive and was able to procure the Spookies slip with the original artwork signed by like 10 folks from the cast and crew! A very nice surprise! A had a quick chat with all of them - all very cool and apparently from the area like Fairfield and Westchester counties.

I also grabbed The Amity Boxset, which is absolutely beautiful - surprised there’s so many copies left, Berserker, Pledge Night and Christmas Evil slip.

Always a fun time at The Archive - hope everyone gets a chance to visit it one day.

That is very cool. Reminds me of my days of going to conventions and getting autographs.

Will not be adding to my VS order; I hit up a bunch of record stores yesterday and today and seriously overspent (got some great stuff though, so totally worth it).

It sounds like there's a coupon code easter egg hidden on Let My Puppets Come.

All right! Time to go to Blu-Ray.com's forum for the annual meltdown 'cuz someone doesn't have their discs yet.

I should go over there to taunt them, because I already received a shipping notification this morning.

Folks are posting about getting theirs already. I got mine earlier today--but just the label creation, nothing's shipped out yet.

Well they are behind the eight ball as Arrow shipped my order today. Since they're stateside VS and Severin should have already shipped mine. ;)

I did put in my VS order real early as I was worried Splatter University would sell out. But then a few days later I threw in the Christmas Evil slip cover. I wonder if you put in a later order like that you get bumped back? Probably not.

There's a lot of different ways the shipping at VS can go. But they probably do the pre-orders from a month ago first. And of those I was pretty late in the game because as a pre-order I wasn't really thinking of trying to get in first like you do on Black Friday.

But then again Fright-Rags already sent my order so come on VS what's the dealio?!? :p

There are two proven ways to go to the front of the line, so to speak, with Vinegar Syndrome. Three if you include going to the storefront in Connecticut.

Get a yearly subscription, or buy outside of their 50% off sale.

Of course, both of those options are substantially more expensive. You want cheap discs? Fine, but you'll get your order when it's good and ready.
