Yes and yes. It's really odd. Definitely a home-grown regional horror film. It takes itself reasonably seriously. If you want a good movie this is not that, if you like the odd places that regional horror went in the 80s, it's worth a look.

I had seen a VHS rip prior and I liked it even more watching it on Blu.

So the full November line up is Liquid Sky, Pick-Up and the Seeds/Vapors DF and the two mystery horror titles. Not a bad line-up, so far.

The Liquid Sky Slip looks like it's going to be absolutely beautiful.

  11. I absolutely adore Demon Wind. I've been a fan since I was 13. The blu looks gorgeous (especially compared to the crummy PAL dvd I had). I wish the writer/director was involved in the extras but what we got was good enough.

What counts is the film itself: It's batshit fun. Plenty of gore and demon mayhem and some cheesy yet memorable characters (all about that kung fu magician yo). If you're a fan of B-movie trash and the evil dead check it out!

Really loving that November package. I love trying to figure out what these mystery releases are- I never get em right. My silly guess is Bloodsuckers from Outer Space (already mentioned) and 1992's Hellroller.

Hellroller was shot on VHS, I believe, and is one of the worst films I've ever seen.

  18. When someone says its the worst film they ever saw I have to subject myself to that kind of torture.

It's like when my Ex hooked up a car battery to my nipples. I had to feel it!

I'm expecting a treat no matter what the secret movies are, given VS's track record with off-the-wall titles. Even though Last House on Dead End Street didn't see a release this year, getting the 2017 package has been a great decision. I now have a ton of stuff to watch that I likely never would have sought out on my own.
