Love this film...one of my favorite thrillers of all time. Any filmmakers out there looking to make films in the thriller or suspense genre need to study this film on how to do it right.

Hmm, I can't wait for a good reimagining by Eli Roth or Rob "zombie". I hope the motives and the childhoods of the villains are explained and explored in detail, and the blind teenager is saved in the end when the lead villain played by John Travolta betrays his position by reacting to the sound of an incoming message from her best Myspace friend.

Yeah, that is what I find so irritating about her; she was the only thing I disliked about the film. Years later, I still call out the name, "Sam....?" in mocking. :)

Reminder: Warner Archive Blu-Rays are pressed Blu-Ray discs, not BDR.

Just thought I'd throw out that my girlfriend is the Artistic Director of a theater near South Bend, Indiana and she just put this on the theater's line-up for 2018.

A number of local stage production versions of it are on Youtube . Our local LITTLE THEATER has adapted it a few times over the years. When I was in school I suggested doing it as a school play one year but it was deemed "too controversial".

It is a real release isn't it. It may be warner archive, but all there blu's are pressed no blu-r's, it has special features and they are renowned for doing better authoring jobs than there big brother. (and they have already confirmed it's on a BD-50, so it will have a maxed bit rate)

If your a fan I don't see how you can't be happy with the release

Blu on demand programs never seem like 'real' releases to me, regardless of whether it's a pressed disc or bdr. this will only be available from warner's website, which means it'll be expensive, not to mention having high shipping costs to canada. archive releases also never have new features, so you get less for your money. all of the features on this were already available on the dvd I think.

Wait until dark deserved a better release than this.

Warner Archives other releases are available at other retailers such as Amazon, Deep Discount, etc. So not an exclusive as you say.

Alright alright. the price is still an issue for me, though. if amazon US has it for 21, I can only imagine what .ca will ask for it. if it drops down to a reasonable amount I'll probably pick it up. still wish it had received some new supplements though.

Warner Archive... That just seems disrespectful somehow. Warner should treat this film like the thriller version of Gone with the Wind. Some studios, man, I tell you...

Man, Alan Arkin was so damn good in this movie. I always forget about that part where he leaps out towards the end. To terrorize somebody who is blind...that has to make Arkin one of the biggest shitheads ever!! Hepburn's performance here and Mia Farrow's in See No Evil (1971) are probably the best performances every put to film where someone plays a blind victim.
