Only natural for the ratings to drop after so long, but wow, they aren't doing themselves any favors with the pacing. Bizarre finale, in terms of momentum; weird breaks between scenes and goofy plot developments. Why did Negan shave his face in front of Carl and why did he want to have dinner with Carl so badly? Just to spite Rick? Ok, Negan officially has too much time on his hands.

The killing of the chubby character was a relief. Her only reaction was to cry.

Yeah, Negan is quite odd and totally without class; of course, he is sociopathic but I really liked the Govenor much better as a villian. Yes, he was crazy too, but at least you saw a touch of humanity in his character, especially where his daughter was concerned. Negan is just a brash blowhard without any merit. Don't like the character at all. It's too over the top for me, and he is one man...and everybody else has become a shrinking pussy? Stupid writing. Even at the risk of their own life, I find it very hard to believe that everybody could be so afraid of one man..Please!

Agreed with yoru assessment of Negan. Like, does he ever have a normal conversation with anyone? It's always, 'Hey Character X, do you THINK you could TAKE OUT the garbage that's been SIT-TING in my OFFICE? Tell me, is that TOO much to ASK of you? OF ANY OF YOU? I can BE more sar-CASTIC if I have to.'

I completely agree...the constant smile and grin is annoying.

Personally, I still don't understand why Rick & Co. don't just MOVE! I get it, Negan is insane, and everyone else is kind of buying themselves time by kissing his ass at every turn. But they've already admitted to being grossly outnumbered. So why stay in Alexandria? Why not move South again, or West? Surely there's another abandoned town somewhere in the US that they can rebuild. Why stick around as Negan's slaves? Evidently, their cars never run out of gas, so just drive somewhere. Negan's stronghold only seems to be in that area. It's not like he has cells across the country. It's just stupid to me.

Is anyone else bored by both the Kingdom and the Hilltop communities? Kinda feel like both groups are just wandering around in a circle until they need to be relevant.

Oh yeah. They are not even developing half of the characters from those groups.

Hoping the Negan storyline is resolved in the remainder of this season.

Yeah, I think the entire Negan situation is fucking ridiculous and very far fetched. You can't tell me that someone, even if they risk their own live, is not willing to take that dickhead out. Stupid fucking writing.

Yeah, I keep thinking that the writers will show us that Negan has some sort of blackmail/special knowledge, and THAT is why everyone keeps him alive. Because the idea that fear is keeping everyone at this level of subservience for this long is tough to believe. But I bet that's it.

Jeffrey Dean Morgan is already confirmed for next season so it's likely we'll have to wait until at least then for Negan to go. I read that the remainder of this season is going to see Rick's group gathering supplies and rallying the troops to fight, and all I could think was...

Truthfully, the way I see it, no one even has to risk their life. Now that everyone basically knows where his camp is, it would only take someone waiting in the distance for him to come outside and pick him off with a scope. The rest of his group would probably disband after he's gone.

Christ, let's hope there is at least some type of conflict somewhere or I will be put to sleep. Maybe it will happen between some of the other groups. The one interesting storyline was the group that Tara visited or came across while searching for supplies. Lots of weapons to find there.

    Spoiler alert,
Negan is still alive and around in the comics and really is a fascinating character in there.
I'm hoping the TV version catches up (show is not too far behind the books now, and 2 huge stories are about to happen if the show follows them).

Damn. Well, let's hope a zombie bear or something rushes in to keep it interesting.

You mean the all-woman group? I was wondering why that was just thrown in there randomly. I'm sure we'll see them again at some point. But Tara man...I just can't with her. She bores me to the brink of insanity. Her and Rosita are like the same person. Always just "there."
