When you put it that way it does seem ridiculous. I fixed it. :)

There are quite a few franchises that kept up interesting output throughout their runs, but obviously none are as big as the big three slashers. There is so much volume there, it's tough to compete since by nature of the sequels they have so much time to develop.

Of the shorter series, though, I liked the following:

    Prom Night
    Phantasm
    Saw
    Child's Play
    Silent Night, Deadly Night

Each series definitely have their weaker entries, but with these ones often the latter ones are better or just as good as the originals (SNDN 3, Seed of Chucky, Saw IV, Prom Night 4).

I will also echo what Fist said (not about Exorcist II, although I will admit it's at least always interesting) that it really was a great process reliving viewing a classic series with you, and I do hope you do it again. You still have much Friday the 13th ground to cover, so that would be my vote, although something off the beaten path certainly would be welcome, too. Thanks for the great thread.

Just skip anything that has a "zombie" attached to its name.

I'm late to the party, but if I had to do it all over again I'd watch parts 1, 2, and 4 then watch part 3.

    Whammo.
