I can't believe it! according to TVShowsonDVD.com Werewolf: The Series is finally coming to DVD! I been waiting for this to happen every since I started collecting TV Shows on DVD!:banana::banana: Werewolf: The Series The show follows the adventures of Eric Cord (John J. York), a college student transformed into a werewolf who undergoes a quest to rid himself of his curse by killing the originator of his 'bloodline,' a drifter named Janos Skorzeny (played by Chuck Connors in his last television role). While pursuing Skorzeny, Cord himself is pursued by the persistent bounty hunter "Alamo" Joe Rogan (Lance LeGault). However, Eric then begins to hunt down Nicholas Remy (Brian Thompson), the real originator of the bloodline. The show aired a two-hour pilot and 28 half-hour episodes before being canceled in 1988. I know this series airs on Chiller TV... but unfortunately Comcast Cable doesn't carry that channel... so I haven't seen this series since it originally aired back in 87/88. So tell me... am I the only one here that remembers this series?
No you're not. Although my memory of this show is a little fuzzy because i have not seen it since it originally aired, (no chiller channel for me ) I do recall this being a pretty big deal for network television in the late 80's...I was just a sophomore in high school when this show ended...I remember being pretty bummed and my whole family watched it pretty religiously at the time. It'll be nice to revisit it after all these years. thanks for the heads up!
I haven't seen it since either... but do have fond memories (was in high school at the time). For a reminder... here is a couple youtube clips... Pilot Teaser: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-2ICieKpNec Chiller TV Commercial: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zDO2g9O_DvM&NR=1
Looks good, especially the werewolf effects. I'll have to check it out when it hits DVD. Thanks for the info addicted!
omfg!!! I remember this and am SOOOOO happy this is finally being brought to DVD. I don't think this ever even seen the light of day on VHS did it?
WOW! I have a copy of the pilot, but haven't seen other episodes in years. I didn't realize there were that many! I'd definitely like to re-visit this one.
Holy crap, I downloaded and watched the pilot earlier today for the first time since it aired and now I come on here and see this news. Definitely looking forward to this, the werewolf effects are great and hold up after all these years.
I have Chiller Channel I got recently but Ive never seen this series on there so they must not have it on anymore- I remember watching this when I was a kid and was so excited cuz I loved werewolves. I may have to pick this up- pretty much all I can remember about the show is the slow motion effect it would throw in during the werewolf scenes (if I am remembering that right)
I've never seen this, although I've been wanting to for years (didn't want to buy a bootleg). I'll be renting this for sure!
A friend of mine loved that show.As I recall Chuck Connors loaned them his rifle from THE RIFLEMAN for use in the series.Didn't Connors have the same name in this as the vampire from THE NIGHT STALKER telefilm ?
just slip off the chair! this is VERy VERY good news!!!! thanks for the heads up , can finally get rid of my bootleg
