Another Blockbuster hater ? Welcome to the club. I have always been great at returning DVD's on time. But at blockbuster I always have these mysterious late charges. They send me letters in the mail saying I owe them money and that if I don't comply they will get a collection agency after me. I went down to get this cleared up and it turns out it was their mistake. suprise suprise. This happens all the time seems like.

  2. I watched the final 11 episodes of Season 3 of The Sopranos. A fabulous cable series.

They went too far with me. I had to re-open my account because they were the only place that still had the Scarface dvd, which I wanted to check out. I had to give em my credit card. They claimed I returned SF late but didn't notify me, just charged my card!
I called and bitched em out, they kept saying they were right, they wouldn't refund me. I know I dropped it off about 9:30 am on my way to work, 2 days before it was due back!. I told em to cancell my membership for good, and they said I had to in to cancell it! It'll run out soon enough as I'm never going back. The next time I was in my indie shop, I cut my BB card up as it was the first time I came across it in my wallet after this bullshit.
Thankfully they only charged me for one late day, seeing how they're making shit up, it could've been worse!
Fuck BB, burn in hell motherfuckers!:fuck: :fuck: :fuck: :fuck: :fuck:

Yesterday, Madison's very own WYOU showed the Incubus from 1981. I thought it was pretty good as a movie but their transfer looked like an eigth generation VHS dub.

Theatre of Blood: Satisfyingly executed but basically a by-the-numbers slasher with Price as a megalomaniacal Shakespeare-interpreter who knocks off his critics. The murders are themed after Shakespeare's plays and are imaginative film-making and Price is good as always but other than that I was a bit disappointed.

One Hour Photo: Brilliantly balanced and stylisized thriller. Robin Williams totally steals the show. The scenes from the sterile and anonymous "family-friendly" warehouse where Williams work, and the nightmarish visions he keeps having are genius. The psychology 101 ending seemed a bit tacked on though and drags the overall impression down a bit, much like it's genre precursor Psycho's ending also did in its days.
