    Last night I watched:

    Dead & Burried
    Day of the Dead

Two great zombie films that go great together.

I loved the scene of the
    burned guy screaming
    in Dead & Burried.

I kind of got the idea that Dan O'Bannon was looking for something like this
when the skull pops out of the grave
in Return of the Living Dead.

Day of the Dead kind of has a reputation for being too dark. I haven't seen Dawn for a long time, but Night doesn't exactly end on a happy note. Until last night, I hadn't seen Day in a long time either. It had a lot of cool FX I had totally forgot about. But I've always liked the way it begins. I think that is the most memorable opening scene in any horror film.

You should watch Halloween 2 then. It's got alot more action and at times I enjoy it much much more than the first.

  3. Over the last couple of day I have watched:

    The Huanting (1963)
    Rocky III
    Blue Thunder
    God Told Me To
    He Knows You're Alone

    Battle Royale kicked fucking ass.

As for Cannibal Holocaust, it was, uh, different.:nervous:

You were there???? I thought I saw you, but wasn't sure. Did you see a somewhat large person with brown hair and a Zombie shirt leave sometime during the first 5-10 minutes??? That was me!!

I watched the beginning and the end of The Evil Dead, with commentary by the ladies. I came in again in the last 5-10 minutes. :D

After that, I stayed to watched Day of the Dead, from the new DVD. All I can say is, WOW!

And I just finished Tenebre, here at home at my computer desk. Great movie and an even GREATER ending. Of course, a second viewing might be best. :)

    Yeah, I was there.

We got there before the part where Cheryl gets raped by the vines, but I can't remember exactly what part we walked in on.

Just got done watching 8MM. I thought it was great, especially for a movie I never heard of.

Saw JEEPERS CREEPERS 2 and didn't care for it that much.

On DVD I watched two films for a second time that I hadn't seen in awhile. Both held up really well.

BAISE-MOI. :fire: This film is kick-ass nihilism at its coolest.

THE STENDHAL SYNDROME. I thought this film was mediocre the first time, but I really enjoyed it this time...psychological depth worked for me much more and Asia totally rules.

    Movies i'v seen this weekend

Kalifornia - I liked it. Along the lines of Natural Born killers i'd say i prefur it but, i may have to was NBK again since it's been.

Last house on dead end street with Comentary - That movie is friggin fucked up, i love it.

Vampire Lovers - Pretty good, Just under the buyable borderline for me, but it was an overall solid flic with a better then average ending.

The God of Cookery: GREAT film, very glad I bought this. I'll be sharing this one with a friend or two, for sure.

The Babysitter: Terrible waste of my time. The worst part had to be the icky fantasies... each one worse than the next. By the way, when the hell do babysitters use their boss' tub anyway? I would never even consider it when I did my time babysitting. How gross.

Watched Re-Animator last night, which is always of the good. I love the Millennium dvd release, it makes me happy every last time I watch it.

Tonight, I am going 80s vhs slasher happy with Hospital Massacre and New Year's Evil.
