Yea, I'm not buying the whole "it wont make enough money" thing. It's a shame we wont see 4-8 on blu any time soon.

It just seems ridiculous that they won't release the other films until a new film is release. Just release them as Best Buy exclusives and during the Halloween season, it's easier for all of us.

And Paramount won't license them out, which makes no sense if the sequels don't make any money as they claim. They've licensed plenty of other stuff out to various studios, Shout Factory, Legend, Lionsgate, etc.

I'm sure there are plenty of studios who would love the chance to release the sequels on Blu-ray.

I'm not sure Paramount feels they won't make any money. Paramount likely thinks it could make considerably more money off the films by waiting to capitalize on the buzz surrounding a new installment in the series or a successful Crystal Lake Memories documentary, than by releasing them now or licensing them off to a 3rd Party for a flat fee or a percentage of the profits.

I don't think you should listen to that. The guy who posted it, Beachguy, doesn't have the source(s). He did the same thing when he said that Child's Play 2 and 3 would be coming to Blu-ray in time for Curse of Chucky.

Read that too. Zero news on this anywhere else.

Hopeful, but find it hard to believe that guy.

I gave up on these a looooong time ago. I'll get excited when Amazon has them in stock and ready to ship.

Well, it wouldn't be until next year at the earliest. Paramount has already announced their catalog title releases for this year, and as we've seen--one catalog title a month is their limit.

There's more chance of seeing the Queens tits than any more F13 arriving on BD in the next 12 months...

And the queen's tits would be far scarier than any Friday the 13th...

    Ahem...

All the Fridays (1-8) aired on MonstersHD before Dish gave them the axe. They showed up on newsgroups as .TS files.

I would rather have blus but considering I can stream the TS or play it right on my bluray player, I guess it doesn't really matter. They'll do for the time being.

    How do you do that?

You mean stream the TS on the Blu-ray? Because VLC can play .ts files directly, can't they they? You don't stream it through VLC.

I have a media extender on my TV; I can stream from my computer to that. Or I can burn to disc and pop into my bluray player; it will play the TS as well.
