Well, the obvious one is Horror of Dracula.

For a not-as-obvious one, I like Captain Kronos: Vampire Hunter.

Yes, definitely Horror of Dracula, the first in the series.

Taste the Blood of Dracula (1970) is possibly the best of the sequels with Christopher Lee. The film has a lot of spooky atmosphere, especially the scenes shot at Highgate Cemetery.

Vampire Circus (1972) is a far out film with cool twists on vampirism also worthy of recommending.

I like Dracula, Prince of Darkness more than Horror of Dracula. Captain Kronos rules. So does Twins of Evil. It's hard to judge as there's a lot of great Hammer Vampire movies.

Another vote for Captain Kronos, I was really into that one.

For some reason, I have a soft spot in my heart for Countess Dracula. But of course you can't go wrong with any of the Christopher Lee films.

I just watched Horror of Dracula last night, and I have to say I'd forgotten how disappointing the movie is. It has some nice touches, but overall is rather lackluster. Peter Cushing overshadows Christoper Lee, he has a much more energetic performance. Lee is much better in Franco's Dracula, which otherwise is lackluster itself but has great set pieces and victims/vixens.

I was going to go downtown to see Horror this month, probably on the new print that was struck up for Cannes. But now I'm not so sure, I'd almost be too embarrassed to take a friend. "I swear Hammer's done better." Curse of Frankenstein on the other hand would be great.

I'm more partial to The Vampire Lovers and Brides of Dracula myself. Lovers is much more effective with the theme of seduction of the innocent and Ingrid Pitt's the best. Dracula's son(?) is kinda dopey in the later, but once again Cushing does an excellent turn as the doc and the vampire brides are to die for.

I think the best Lee Dracula is "Dracula has Risen from the Grave", it just oozes coolness in every way. The first film is good, but I prefer this one.

However, the two I most seem to enjoy these days are Kiss of the Vampire and Brides of Dracula. Neither have Lee, but what the heck? Both great. I'll pick Brides for the moment.

CAPTAIN KRONOS is a woefully overlooked film, well worth catching.VAMPIRE CIRCUS has a nice vibe to it as well.

Dracula: Prince of Darkness or Vampire Lovers Ingrid Pitt is great in this. The emotion she conveys through her eyes is amazing. I remember feeling sorry for her and rooting for her to win.

Haven't seen Kronos, but sure as fuck will now. Voted Prince of Darkness because the storyline is pretty much just like an 80's slasher flick.

Casting my vote for the underrated Taste the Blood of Dracula.
