When I was in Oslo, I saw a poster for a music festival in 2007. It was wet when I pulled it off the wall and so it got a 4 inch tear in the top, but the headliner was Aphex Twin. Also, not a poster but I hung up my shopping bag from Profondo Rosso.
for anyone going to HorrorHound Indianapolis I will have my usual tub of posters with me which has stuff like Angel,Avenging Angel,He KNows You're Alone,Pom Pom Girls,Horror House,Malibu High,Graduation Day,The Forest,Force Five,Fear No Evil,The Incubus,Jennifer,Madman,Nightwing and more from the days of horror and exploitation. I'll also be at Cinema Wasteland.
I'll take one for The Forest as well!! Where do you guys do most of your poster shopping? The majority of mine came from Ebay, but I can't stand to do business there anymore. The listings are flooded with reprints and insanely overpriced posters. Its rather irritating looking over there. These aren't all the posters I own, but just some of my favorites: http://yfrog.com/5mdscf3475kjx If I had to pick a favorite, it would probably be the Boardinghouse one.
I've gotten the majority of mine off eBay. It's amazing how high some of the prices have gone for a lot of the old school horror flicks.
Just received this in the mail today...pretty cool. Anybody have or know how to get a hold of a Necropolis poster? I'd kill to have one.
Well,HorrorHound was a bust and everyone was more interested in getting drunk and watching bands than buying posters but for those going to Cinema Wasteland I guess it is your gain. I have tons of horror and exploitation posters as mentioned above and some more titles include Terror Train,Barn of the Naked Dead,F13th,The Howling,Flash Gordon,Ben,The Funhouse,Girls Night Out,Race with the Devil,Prom Night,Final Exam,The Weekend Murders,Amityville Horror and much more. Over 1000 one sheets and inserts for sale. If you can make it to Cinema Wasteland I'll be there at 1pm Friday with the "tub o' posters". I'll even have expensive stuff like one sheets for stuff like Bloodthirsty Butchers,ROTLD,Mary Jane,Bowery Boys films,Night of Dark Shadows, etc.
Someone ran a cheap-ass auction on eBay last week and I picked all these original 1-sheets for $15 shipped: Wolfen Hardbodies 2 Visiting Hours Moving Violations Terror In another auction I grabbed: Deadly Games (movie kinda stinks, but I love the artwork and it was only $5) April Fool's Day (original)
Yea that's true, i recently bought the poster from "A Nightmare on elm street" (1984) one sheet tri-folded, it cost me $99.45. it's was a birthday gift from myself . I just had to buy this one before it will be impossible to find, and the prices from other stores are like $250 - $745!!! I was very lucky buying the poster from "Friday the 13th" one sheet folded, original original! excellent condition for only $12, i bid for it and win!! I think the bad photo the seller uploaded helped me . I also bought recently the one from "Funhouse" but with a very different artwork, it's not the one with the jack on the box, or the one with the big ugly mouth, this one have the doors from the funhouse open and coming from there is the killer with and axe and he's riding a coaster car, the seller said that this was the artwork from the England release.
No problem and thanks for your compliments!! Note the last hunter was in-person signed by Dave Warbeck and the Emmanuelle was signed in-person by the late Joe 'Anthropophagus Beast' D'Amato who I met about 12 years ago. Been collecting original quads for about 20 years now but there are still lots Id like!!
By the way the rarest is the Living Dead at the Manchester Morgue quad. I bought it on Ebay and a guy messaged me half an hour later and offered 5 times what I paid for it - he missed the auction and was desperate for it!!
Thanks guys! been collecting for 20+ years now and have ammassed quite a few hundred. All UK quads, not interested in US 1 Sheets. Always on the look out for more if anyone has any for sale send me a message. Note the Emmanuelle poster is signed in-preson by the late Joe D'Amato and the Last Hunter is signed by the late David Warbeck.
