I need a Tenebre poster, I don't feel complete without one. I hope they have some at Horrorfind.
I desperately need a poster of CARRIE. Anyone have one? Just curious...
I worked at movie theatres during high school and college, so I've amassed quite a collection. Some rare ones too. Unfortunately, most are the folded ones. I had a bunch of rolled ones in mint condition, then in one of the places I lived, we had a flood and it destroyed them all. The folded ones were in plastic tubs, so they were safe. Including my beloved Escape from NY original one sheet!! My favorite poster is framed. I got it at a convention years ago. It's the Italian movie poster for the first Terminator film. It was just like the American version except that Arnold's face is half endoskeleton, half human. The American version is all human. Also, the credits are in Italian and the poster is larger than an American one. I love this baby!!
A good framer can make the most of folded posters:
i love them
i have the following...
The Reflecting Skin
Twin Peaks : Fire Walk With Me
The Private Eyes (Don Knotts and Tim Conway)
Twin Peaks (Sherilyn Fenn)
Twin Peaks (Madchen Amick)
Josie And The Pussycats (obsession for Rachael Leigh Cook)
and some i got for free but i dont want like The Prophecy, Dead Man, The Crow 2, Loaded etc.
i saw that Bird With The Crystal Plumage poster before and i really regret not buying it, i love that artwork.
I've got loads of movie posters that I collected over the years (haven't bought any for a while though). Since I got my own house, I've gradually been framing my favourites and putting them up around the place.
Done so far:
House By The Cemetery 12 card french lobby set (the way I've arranged them it looks like a stained glass window at the end of my hallway - totally beautiful).

Tenebre 10 card lobby set.
Alice Cooper - Welcome To My Nightmare 8 card lobby set.
The Beyond - Aussie daybill
Possessed (Manhattan Baby) - Aussie daybill

And don't ask where do I hang them. They are still rolled and I am waiting to move to another house to FILL the walls with them!
A lot, but on my walls (and ceiling) at the moment:
The Player (signed by Altman)
Trainspotting (coming out of the toilet)
I Shot Andy Warhol
Army of Darkness
Chuck & Buck (newspaper personal AD)
John Cleese and the Ministry of Silly Walks
Taxi Driver (Travis pointing the guns and smiling)
The Warriors (original)
Pulp Fiction (B+W, Handing over the bad muthafucka)
The Ceiling of Irony
These posters are on my ceiling for a reason. All of them are upside down and crooked.
The Country Bears
Leonard Part 6 (two different ones)
It's Pat: The Movie
Howard the Duck (Howard coming out of the egg)
I love It's Pat!
I hate you Disco Stu.
I have about 4 boxes filled with old video rental posters that I've not even gone through yet, but here are the theatrical posters I can remember off-hand...
Black Christmas (Silent Night, Evil Night 1-sheet with "Black Christmas" ribbon pasted over the "SN,EN" by the distributor when they changed the title)
Black Christmas (critics blurb sheet...appears in the gallery of the Black Christmas Collector's Edition DVD)
Freddy's Dead: The Final Nightmare
Freddy vs. Jason (teaser)
Friday the 13th
Wes Craven's New Nightmare
A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors
A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master
Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope
I intend to go through those old video posters this weekend, and I shall post my findings here.
Dawn of the Dead (reprint)
Invaders From Mars (80's remake)
Friday the 13th part 6: Jason Lives
The Shining (reprint)
Well, I have a bunch. Around the walls of my home office though, I have four:
Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Bird with Crystal Plummage
I have Texas because it's just a brilliant film - one I underestimated for a long time. I watched it at first and thought, "Hm, kinda hyped up". But on multiple viewings, unlike most films, it got MORE SCARY. Weird.
Halloween is just a personal favorite of mine. I honestly think the original film is just about as perfect as a horror flick can get.
Event Horizon is a cross genre film that works on every level. I could watch this thing once a week and still enjoy it. It's a deep film, with unexpected turns.
Bird with the Crystal Plummage - well - this poster is great because it is red and black, and it has two huge black gloved hands reaching for an insert of a womans face. The black gloves epitomize gaillo - so that's cool.
I have tons in boxes too.
The only movie poster I've got is Plan 9 From Outer Space with Vampira.
Can someone give me a good place to get posters, or is eBay pretty much the only place?
I got these 3 posters on the wall: From Dusk Till Dawn, Scream and Eraserhead.
I got just about all of mine from a little shop in Amsterdam called Silver Screen - they have an amazing selection of horror stuff, posters, DVD, VHS, etc.
Check out their site @
They don't have all their horror posters listed, so it's probably worth an email if there's anything specific you're after. It says they do mail order, though i've only ever bought anything in person from the shop... if you're ever in Amsterdam it's well worth checking them out along with Boudisque which has an excellent horror/cult DVD section too.
