Went with Prison because I haven't seen it in like 14 years and I remember 15 year old me really digging it! But who are we kidding? Most of us will be in for every last one on that list!
My vote goes to the Terror Vision/ Video Dead double feature. I'm excited about the movies that haven't received a DVD/blu release in the states...Prison, The Horror Show, Hospital Massacre, The Vagrant, etc.
I'm surprised 2 others voted for The Vampire Lovers with me (Not a lot of Ye O'lde fans around these parts). A lesbian Ingrid Pitt in HD? Sign me up. I'm going to pick up the bulk of their line up here though. Too much good stuff.
wasnt hospital maasacre called like 3 other things. think one title was x-ray.. its funny in a short period we had 3 hospital horror films. this. visting hours and halloween II
THE INCREDIBLE MELTING MAN for sure, but if it doesn't have a bunch of extras it will be a huge disappointment.
It better not be this version.. The Rank VHS, under the title X-Ray, is heavily cut with a running time of 77 minutes, whereas the MGM/UA tape, under the title Hospital Massacre, runs 89 minutes.
The Fog is my favorite movie on this list, but I am most looking forward to The Town That Dreaded Sundown since it never even got a dvd release. I will be buying most of these. Very happy to support Scream/Shout Factory. They are currently taking care of genre fans better than just about anyone else.
It is "Hospital Massacre" for me. It is one of those elusive 80'S Horror Slashers that I have been trying to find on VHS for years but no luck. So, having it come out on DVD is a real treat! I really want pick up most of them! The Nest, Lifeforce, and Terror Vision/The Video Dead sound Great too! Is The Burning the same Uncut Version that MGM released on DVD? Or is this a longer Cut? Scream Factory has really become one of my Favorite Horror DVD Companies! I still need to pick up "The Funhouse" and "Terror Train" too!!
There's so many goodies they're releasing, that it's near impossible to choose a favorite. But, I picked Terror Vision/The Video Dead since neither has ever been officially released on DVD or Blu-ray before now.
1. The Howling 2. Lifeforce 3. From Beyond 4. Day of the Dead 5. The Horror Show 6. The Burning i never saw The Nest but after reading a couple of good BR review, i'm curious...
I'll be picking all of these up but I'm most looking forward to The fog, as I am a huge Carpenter fan and it's one of my favourite flicks. Followed closely behind that are Town That Dreaded Sundown, Phantasm 2, The Howling, and The Burning. They are by far the best company out there right now.
TerrorVision/Video Dead. Then Lifeforce, Scanners 2, Scanners 3, Night Of The Comet, Incredible Melting Man, all on Blu-Ray. Already own on DVD: Lifeforce, and Night of the Comet, and Region 2: Scanners 2 and 3
