So what slashers do you feel that are probably never going to get a dvd release that I should buy on vhs? The more 80's the better. :D

...those are the ones I can think of off the top of my head...there are a bunch of other great ones that have been announced for the future (like Silent Scream, Eyes of a Stranger, etc)

Slaughter High for sure. Also, I don't think Killer Workout is on DVD and it's priceless. Honeymoon Horror isn't bad, either.

Killer Workout is on DVD, just not region 1 as I'm aware. I believe it's under the title 'Aerobicide'.

berserker and rituals are both available on region 2

and MADHOUSE if it is the 1987 version you mean is available as well, in it's UNCUT glory ( longer than the US anrated VHS, seems to be the same print as "there was a little girl") 22222,35 widescreen , good image, but very very bad audio

Yep. I won that on ebay for about a buck a few years back. Quality is pretty decent.

All of those are out on R2 DVD, and I own every one of them. The Slayer DVD from Vipco looks like shit though, but then again...it's Vipco, no wonder they closed down!

Yeah, the Madhouse transfer is good, albeit non-anamorphic...but the audio sucks. You practically have to turn the volume up to maximum level just to hear it! :fucked:

town that dreaded sundown and hospital massacre are supposed to be rumored to be coming to dvd aka. mgm midnite movie lineup
deathspa is owned by darksky films so they will probably release that eventually.
both the prey and berserker were supposed to be released by anchorbay a.k.a the prey/the pit double feature but the print wasn't good so it got replaced with hellgate and who the heck knows about berserker

    That would be sweet!

Yeah, I knew that about The Prey, but I mean cmon, how bad could the print be? Hellgate stinks! I'd rather watch Uncle Fester eat a cucumber sandwich :D

Headless Eyes is a terrible film, but I love it. It's the most prized VHS in my collection!

Night School, To All a Goodnight, Humongous, Bloody Moon, and Hospital Massacre all come highly recommended by me. I didn't care for Class Reunion Massacre (aka The Redeemer), but it has a strange haunting power that makes me want to see it again. Definitely some creepy scenes in that one. :nervous:

Hmm, I'll just list what I have on my VHS want list.

    Iced
    Open House
    Night School
    To All a Good Night
    New Year's Evil
    Night Warning

And even though I own it, I'll add:

    Killer Party

  20. Abomination is a pretty weird gore flick. Good luck finding it. I would also recommend any of the Wizard Video big boxes, just because of the glorious artwork.
