Corey Haim will make any day better, that's all I can say.

Watching the Nightmare films back to back made me realize a few things:

1.) I was totally right in thinking the Friday series is better as a whole.
2.) Freddy was much cooler in the first two films as opposed to 3-6. He WAS pretty menacing in A New Nightmare, though.
3.) While the deaths were cool, a few had some WTF? moments.

Overall I was very satisified with the films and have a lot of love for Freddy in my heart. I just have a little more love for Jason.

Thanks for following up. Agreed on Freddy's later efforts. Whenever I think about Jason not having a personality, I remember when Freddy had too much personality. I haven't watched much from either franchise lately, and I'm starting to forget the later chapters, which can lead to a tricky desire to revisit.

Just finished watching a double header of Deadbeat At Dawn & Combat Shock. It's been ages since I've watched those films.

I might watch House of Wax. Seeing Paris Hilton die on screen is fantastic. :D

It's a pretty good death, too. That movie was dumb fun.

That's a pretty cool double feature!

Tonight I'm watching Mazes and Monsters in honor of our first D&D game in fifteen years on Saturday (I have to work tomorrow night, otherwise I would've watched it then).
It's been a long time since I've seen this, but I got it for 55 cents, so...

Mazes and Monsters with Tom Hanks..would love to see that again. :)
I've been wanting to whip out the House Of Wax disc for awhile now too.
    Tonight, it's Death Proof though.

Watched Witchfinder General earlier today and just got done watching Death Proof. I'll probably try to fit in two more before bed. I'm thinking Death Wish and possibly Legend of Hell House.

Me and my friend are watching the Hellraiser flicks, so we're on Hellraiser: Bloodline tonight. I haven't seen it in a long long time.

Watched the special edition of Cujo tonight and loved it. I had forgotten what a great Stephen King adaptation that is. I loved Dee Wallace's performance. That saint bernard also turned in an awesome performance.
I also watched Night Of The Demons 2, great film, almost as good as the original. However, I missed the clever opening title sequence of the first. The dvd sucks too, full screen and NO special features, not even a trailer.
I found the picture quality subpar as well. Looks like one of those dvds I'd pick up in the 4.88$ bin at Wal-Mart.
    Saving Alligator for tomorrow night.

No kidding, when that grainy, out of focus Republic Pictures logo first appeared on screen. I thought I had popped in an old vhs tape recorded in EP mode.
It is a great film and most of those girls were hot, which does'nt hurt either.

I watched Alligator tonight, what a great film. A very nice dvd also. I think it was the first time I watched the whole film with the gore intact and no cuts or edits. I had only seen the edited for tv ABC network print prior to that.

Going through my DVDs and trying to just watch the greatest scenes in each horror movie I have, to get me in the mood for October.
