So Sam Raimi has been a bit of a hack lately, so what would you say is his best non-horror movie?

My vote goes to A Simple Plan.

A Simple Plan by far. It's also my favorite Raimi film, period.

Another vote for A Simple Plan. Good film that I need to revisit.

Spider-Man 2. Thought that was better than the original.

I like most of them up there as I like Sam's style, but I went with Spider-Man 2. As far as comic book movies go, it's my very favorite as it is just so much fun and really captures the spirit of the comic. It's fashionable to hate this movie on the net lately, but whatever. I think it rocks.

A Simple Plan. Great, great movie, it's a shame more people who aren't Raimi fans don't know about it.

I went with Spider-Man 2. I thought it was leaps and bounds an improvement over the first. I think it would be followed closely by The Quick and the Dead and Darkman.

I never liked A Simple Plan. I should revisit it though because I think I watched it too close to Fargo, which I saw many similarities with.

I voted for The Quick and The Dead since I haven't seen Simple Plan yet but you're missing 2 other films...

Darkman!!! and The Gift (Katie Holmes gets topless)

No, it's considered action/horror. I left out his movies that had horror elements, or could be considered 'horror' (such as Darkman and The Gift).

    I went with SM2.
Simple Plan is probably a better movie on many levels, but has such a fucking bummer ending I hate to watch it again. SM2 is just a great, fun comic brought to life brilliantly IMO, and holds up well through repeated viewings.

Crimewave was a close second. That's just pure mindless fun!

I actually like all the movies on the list except Simple Plan for reasons mentioned, and Love of the Game cuz I never watched it. From the clips I've seen and what I've heard I'm sure I'll hate that as well.:)

I'd have to go with Spider-Man 2 also.

    What about The Gift though?

The reason is mentioned above why it's not on the list.

Have to go with Spider-man 2. It's one of the best comic book movies ever made.

I just don't really think of The Gift as a Horror movie I suppose. I guess it might have some vague Horror elements, but I've just always thought of it as more of a Drama/Thriller.
