  1. Oh yeah! Those are long gone! I had to get a used copy of the set a couple of years ago.

No, they are still widely available.

    Amazon has it for $54
    Deep Discount $68
    DVD Planet $76
    ect.

  3. Well, I guess they released another batch, but damn! What a difference in prices!

The first two are very good, Ghost Galleon is cheap but fun but I absolutely love Night of the Seagulls. That box set was a must-buy when it came out.

I was pretty excited about the release of the Blind Dead boxset. It was long promised and often delayed as I recall, so there was much speculation that it wouldn't happen at all. I think it's after that was finally released Bill Lustig learned to keep his mouth shut about upcoming releases.

  7. I watched Ghost Galleon again last night as a result of this discussion and I just can't get into the movie. I can't keep my attention on it, it's just that damn boring.

I remember when all that was going down. I just had the uncut Midnight releases of the first 2. Man I love the boxset. There is nothing lacking about it.

Night of the Seagulls for me, but I too love them all and picked up that coffin set right after they finally put it out. Incredible atmosphere in these movies, which is my most important criterion for a horror movie.

It's easy to keep your mouth shut when you have no upcoming releases!

For me, the first two films were great - the imagery in the first and that fantastic climax in the second, really stand out for me. The second two felt like low-budget knockoffs, I didn't much care for them, although they aren't without intrigue.

Blue Underground put out a great set, I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to check out some cool horror off the beaten path. Hopefully we get a Blu-ray upgrade of at least the first two films.

Always enjoyed the atmosphere of the original, but the pacing is tighter on the first sequel.Haven't seen the other two in a while, need to spin them again.

I saw TOMBS for the first time on Elvira's Movie Macabre. The box set is excellent.

Guess I'll have to apologize for that. I really can't justify my liking of it, just that's it like a Scooby-Doo plot which I love (while at the same time I loath Scooby-Doo). Bikini models trapped on a ghost ship you say? Shiver me timbers, I'm all on board.

And with that, Bill announces Torso and The Tenth Victim this week. ;)
