I want my film's deeper than lazy filmmaker's not resecpting their audience and the art-form of by just having Nudity & Gore

I wish filmmaker's would never use Nudity & Gore in their films relay on Plot,Characters & Scares not Nudity & Gore

I think every single user on here would agree with this point. You are the horrordigi prophet to unite us all, as foretold by puddytay the blessed.

I like those kinds of films, too, but I'm sorry... a sequel to The Beast Within without nudity and gore just wouldn't be The Beast Within.

Seriously , a sequel to The Beast Within would be awesome. Without nudity and gore, not so much.

I have quite a few friends who, all they want from horror, is "Tits and Gore", and I'm like "are you 12?" Christ. However, gore can complement films, as they have with Bava, Argento, Fulci and a handful of slasher films from the 80s. You just have to know when and why you are using it.

Nudity on the other hand... sometimes it too can be for art sake, but most people it seems just want something to jerk to. There's porn for that. Let's keep horror having purpose. Saw III's nude ice scene was for artistic reasons. Hatchet's was not.

Now now. I thought the original was rather enjoyable. Time will tell if the sequel can add to the story at all.

Not really, though I'd like to see the Fast and Furious series end well...just because. :)

    My chose's:

Black Christmas 2 (sequel to '74 version)
The House on Sorority Row 2
Phenomena 2 (Argento apparently considered doing this, would have love to seen how that would have come out)
    Waxwork 3
Puppet Master 2.5 (would have love to seen the adventure that was implied at the end of 2)
    The Thing 2

I would love to see Lucky McKee get onboard for Phenomena 2. Once he finally ditches these worthless Jack Ketchum adaptations. Maybe as a means of redoing his own The Woods (which I'm convinced is awful in any version he may regard as director's cut gold). It's certainly a better idea that someone remaking Carrie. AGAIN!

You almost sound like me here. Except that the Leprechaun films are freaking fun (until part 4).

I think that's actually a direct quote from the Riff character in Sleepaway Camp III. And the image that comes to mind immediately is a woman with strawberry syrup dripping in her cleavage. So... though this doesn't turn me on, I think I might be 12 too.

Gore in my book more compliments the people who do it for a living, the Savini's and Nicotero's and whonot. It's hard to come to a conclusion about it because I'm a huge fan of moments like the tendon-sleepwalking scene in Nightmare on Elm Street 3. But if people are expecting me to cheer at stuff like Hatchet (I think that's the one where the guy grabs someone's head and rips it open, in half, like a fruit), you've got to be kidding me. When it was revolutionary and new and there were still a lot of inventive things to do with it to actually enhance the films they were in and the pool of horror filmmaking wasn't so damn polluted, gore was great.

Call me insane... but the only thing that bothers me about nudity as a rule in horror is when I hear people demand it. I grew up on stuff like Wynorski, Olen Ray, and DeCoteau. (Although, has anyone seen Dreamaniac - 1986 - lately? The beef on display in that movie is off the freakin' charts!!! Clearly an indicator of where he would be headed 15 years later, dropping the pretense that his men-rubbing-selves-down dtv cheapies are for women.) And I could be missing something but I think I've noticed nudity in horror is still on the lower end of the scale since the 80's / 90's.

Have to go with the Original Evil Dead, for obvious reasons. 2nd would be Friday the 13th.

I haven't seen Sleepaway Camp III in years. I don't recall a line similar. Perhaps I should revisit. Maybe it stayed in my mind longer than I had originally thought.

Gore can darken or maybe even lighten the mood of a picture. That's what necessity I see it taking. It doesn't even have to be innovative, but Hatchet is a good example of overkill and redundancy. Part II somehow went overboard in comparison to Part I. Somehow...

The nudity was less in reference to what's being done, and more to what is expected from horror fans. On other boards, there are a lot of "boobies!" men that I... just feel embarrassed for. But it's there thing I guess... So yeah, the demand is what bugs me. When I think about it, nudity in SPM or Friday the 13th II doesn't bug me, even when it's in your face. It's when it's REALLY in your face like with the remake or... a Troma film, that I feel as if my intelligence is being played for a circus.

To me your not a true Horror fan if you just watch Horror film's for the gore and nudity which ultimately make's you feel like you are cool. A true horror fan is someone who watches a Horror film for a excellent plot, likable and reatalible characters & some scares. See those who just watch it because it's gory and has some nudity don't resecpt the art of the film. I don't consider porn art I consider it a insult to something that's mean't to an moment of the full expersion of love which is sex.I would illegalize porn.Gore has no artistic merit to me it's just bullshit. Movie's are an art-from they need to resecpted by people buying Blu-ray's & DVD's not using Redbox,Netflix & Vudu which only provides people with the low understanding of what films are their not just entertainment their art. Book's are art,Games are,Paintings are art,Photgraphy's are art,Movies are art & everything else isn't
