Blockbuster Online has it.
Here's a nicer, bigger, & un-obstructed picture of the cool cover if anyone wants it.
I just got the US disc (again. I have no idea why I traded it in the first place ) in a trade and will be printing this to cover up the disappointing AB front cover.
Well, I can't see switching rental sites just for one DVD. That would be ridiculous.
Nobody said you had to switch little buckaroo. They have a free trial if you want to do that while still keeping Netflix. Don't worry Netflix wouldn't find out and yell at you.
Just trying to help you find a way to keep from paying Amazon that high price. Now that would be ridiculous.
Haha, yeah I guess one of these days I could do the free trial.
MMMM, my picture link isn't showing up now.
Just right click and copy the properties, paste in adress bar, and enjoy!
I just rewatched this movie today. It probably has the hottest cast this side of Sex Fifth Avenue! :sperm: Great nudity and just enough gore (still a little light, but the taste is nice.)
I could post a scan of the X-Rated cover if anyone wants it.
You have to wait for it though, because I need te reinstall my scanner.
OK so should break down and buy the R1 before it goes out of print or has anyone heard of a reissue on the horizon.
I have been holding out on this one forever.I am keeping my fingers crossed the BU will get this one and do a 2 disk sp ed.If I were to buy today,A week from now there will be an anouncement that it is getting re released
I broke down and bought the AB disc from Amazon at the beginning of this year. I liked the film, but not enough to upgrade if someone like BU re-releases it. Well ok, maybe if it was a super-deluxe 2-disc set, but I will settle for nothing less.
In Italy you have Alan Young Pictures (also released Torso) who are working together with/closely related to NoShame Italy. It might well be that when AB loses the rights for R1,NoShame US will release it under their "Sergio Martino Collection" banner.
If you want it now,the best version (print + Extras) is the new German edition (exactly like the X Rated disc).Much cheaper than the X Rated disc was/is.
I might double dip if the extra's are great.Hell,it's a Giallo by Sergio Martino,I will double dip!
Hey, I've been looking for a the X-Rated cover forever, if you plan on scanning it that would be okay with me. Since I started working at a copy place I've been going nuts printing out covers to replace ones I don't like.
It's here and it's very large:
I will remove next week.
Just avoid the Aussie Stomp Version
It is heavily censored in almost 5 places, including an entire scene lifted from the beginning showing the body of Flo's boyfriend and a discussion between the police...The scarf seller who blackmails the killer is killed by having his head squashed against a wall with a car
and the end massacre has scenes of graphic slicing and dicing shortened..
2.The DVD transfer turns extremely poor during the murder of the woman in the swamp..you can hardly see a thing,
3.There is overlapping dialogue during the opening credit scenes and during the first minute of the actual film..An obvious mistake
That was quick, thanks!
Love this film! I have a little newspaper ad with this paired up with AUTOPSY. I even bought the TORSO one-sheet poster before I saw the film. I love travelling to Italy so watching this as a good film OR a mini-travelogue is fine by me.
Can anyone recommend any other gialli that indulge in their foreign (to us in the USA) settings? I love those films that say 'YOU ARE IN ROME' or 'This takes place in Lazio', ect.
I hate films that are foreign but they try to make it look like New York, ect.
Oh yeah - pre '80's, please
If you haven't seen it yet: Deep Red (Rome)
Excellent choice. I forgot about AUTOPSY! And GIRL WHO KNEW TOO MUCH! When I visit Rome, I go to as many locations as possible with those films playing in my head. The tourists sorta take away from the Giallo atmosphere...but some of the hairdo's of the locals are very '70's.
I got confused when I tried to read this thread. Get's kinda complicated.
Anyone care to answer title of this thread?
