I dont really have the urge to update my Zombie disc. I am happy with my Anchor Bay version even though it is obsolete. But if i am walking through Best Buy and see the 2-disc version at descent price, then i will pick it up.

I will definitely be upgrading my Anchor Bay version to the Shriek Show edition.

Without a doubt, the Shriek Show edition. I also couldn't help but notice that both the BU and SS editions of Zombi feature similar cover art. Is this an old movie poster for Zombi? To be honest, it looks like something that was just created. Does anyone know?

SS definately. I think you'll find the cover is indeed a combination of a few things. The majority of it is european theatrical art.

Blue Underground, maybe the SS later if I can find it cheap. And not just marked down, I mean used at $8.99 or something.

The SS DVD all the way. I just don't understand anyone who would buy the BU DVD instead of the SS DVD unless they are short on cash. :D

They have spelling errors on their boxes sometimes. But then, given the posts we all do that are riddled with them, we can't really complain :)

It's become cool to knock SS. Having one less DVD company wouldn't do us any favors, and I really like their catalog. BU are not having a particularly good time of it right now either, they've had bad discs, naff transfers (Sadomania) and make evry damn thing a "Special Edition" including hiding titles in boxes that you can't get anywhere else.

I'll judge each release on its merits, and thank the Lord that we have as many companies as we do putting out genre product :)

I'll be getting the SS one first, and since I'm such a big fan of the film, I'll also be getting BU's sometime down the road.

    Zombi again....

I'm getting a bit bored of all those Zombi2 SS vs.BU threads lately (sorry no hard feelings :D ).But I see a sameness creeping in...
Do a thread search and some reading before posting.I'm not annoyed,I love to post in any of the threads, but since this discs are already discussed so many times with the same discussions all over again.I'd rather post in one of the older threads.

Oh,and I'll be getting the SS edition :D

The jury is out until the reviews come piling in. The transfer is what's important. Extras I only watch once, so if the BU disc looks better than all that the SS disc will be worth to me is a rental.

I'll most likely get the SS disc, unless the BU has some remarkably better transfer.

I'll take anyone's old AB disc if they don't want it anymore.
