    it's a very good movie.

Ive owned the Luminous VHS, and the Alpha digital DVD, and am really looking forward to this (hopefully final) upgrade.

WCKAC is at the very top of the "killer kids" genre.

For my money, the film's a masterpiece of the genre. It makes other killer kid films look like jokes in comparison. Originally seeing it via the Island of the Damned cut, it's a very tense and unsettling film with some interesting socio-political subtext as relates to child violence. The very likable main characters really struggle here, both physically and morally, in a picture as bleak as they come.

Who Can Kill a Child? has such an impeccable mood and atmosphere to it. Werner Herzog's short documentary, La Soufrière - Warten auf eine unausweichliche Katastrophe, which I saw earlier this year, reminded me of this film in those regards. The isolated, disquieted feel of the island... very predominant.

With this and The House that Screamed (which needs a better release than the Shoarma disc) under his belt, N.I. Serrador clearly had a lot to contribute to Spanish horror. Likewise, I feel the same way about Claudio Guerín, even though he made only one film (A Bell from Hell). Alas, Serrador faded into the land of television and Guerín tragically took his infamous fall.

Haven't seen any killer kid films in my life.
Only killer kids I can remember were from In The Mouth of Madness.
I found this clip at YouTube:

It's not a trailer but it tells me I want it :D (although I'm probably spoilt by that clip now :()

    Added to the wishlist :D

I've heard enough good things about this that I think it's worthy of a blind buy.

Although the thrills and creepiness are very effective in this film but i found the main characters so damn annoying that i wanted the children to kill them off as soon as possible.

I found the main characters to be very low-key and believable, and really morally torn as realization kicks in as to what they must do to survive.
This gives the film part of its real power.

Couldn't side with the kids at all in this one.

Well I went ahead and bought this film and loved it! If this isn't the most underrated 70's film. It's really up there. I had no problem with the pacing and the imagery was amazing. There were actually a scene or two with the kids and how they would just gather slowly until before you know it they were everywhere. It reminded me allot strangely of the Birds.

Anyway great film. If you haven't seen it yet, you should.

Well, I still haven't seen it yet  . Completely forgot about this one. There'll be a new R2 out soon:

Not too English friendly since it's not English subbed. But at least it has English audio. Though I guess people want to watch it in Spanish anyway.
For fans of the movie it's nice to note it features the OST CD as extra.

Bought the film few weeks ago. Not any of the above versions though. It's this Dutch version with impeccable A/V quality:

Audio in English/ Spanish with Dutch subs.

Great movie and basically I can echo these sentiments:

    Nope, only a few trailers.
But, judging by the screencaps from the review in my first post, this print looks nicer. Could be my monitor though.

Wow. That cover is only about a million times better than the not so special Dark Sky disc. How is the audio for the English track on this one? The Dark Sky English track is lousy which is a shame since the two leads spoke English when filming this. Also like everyone has already stated, it's a must see film.

If I can manage, I will post an audio sample here. Note that it's in PAL, so it can sound a bit different..I think.
    Also add some screengrabs.
I didn't have any problems with the audio. Only problem for most of you will be (and is..) the lack of an English option during the Spanish audio...

Just watched this for the first time last night- thought it was great.

Is there a good version of House that Screamed out there?
