Wasn't the Jap DVD of this anamorphic? The UK one is. I've been rather disappointed with Synapse's extras of late.

According to Don at Synapse the company he licensed WZ from told him that the materials were not available. The movie started as a long form music video, thus no 16:9 masters were created. He could have easily made an anamorphic transfer with the 4X3 elements, but it would look worse than the non-anamorphic one.

This movie was perdy much a dud in my eyes. Versus is still the best asian zombie flick! Stacy and Junk are perdy bad too.

Damn straight BloodMan, Versus rocks! I bought Wild Zero after waiting about a year for Synapse to release it - I expected too much and I have yet to watchthe entire movie. Seems like the every scene in the first hour gets built up for action and nothing happens - bored the shit out of me.
