I recently found a copy of the Image disc but it's a bit pricy. Will there be a rerelease soon?
According to DVDBeaver the Image disc is still the best (compared with the French disc).
I ask because I just know that the moment I buy it there's a great company announcing a definitive release..

I don't know about the Image disc but you can find the french dvd for something like 1 or 2 Euros in some places (I don't know if these sites ship outside France though...) The french disc isn't bad at all, it's got italian audio and english subtitles, same as the Image dvd I think...
By the way, I love Bava and "Blood and Black Lace" is my favorite giallo right after after "Deep Red" but I must say I found "The Girl Who Knew Too Much" sleep-inducing! But it's worth having for historical reason I guess...

Im sure at some point all the Bava's will be re released. The Image disks are nice for the Tim Lucas liner notes. This is one of those Bava films you dont hear to much about. And it is a really good film and disk to boot.

"Blood & Black Lace" is my all time favorite giallo as well (hence my avatar) and I'm so grateful to have the German DVD.
I rented the Image release of "The Girl Who Knew Too Much" and might pass on purchasing it even if it does get re-released. Really didn't find it all that exciting to watch.....but it is Bava so.....

Well I am interested anyway :D.
It's the first real Giallo,so I need it in my collection. And it's Bava.
Another thing I'd like to know:was there no English dub recorded for this one? Both the French and US release have only Italian dub.If there ever was,I should be better off waiting for a rerelease.

Where can I find his e-mail address?

I think the disc is actually OOP (Amazon sells it used for $58) so I might pick it up soon.I can get it cheaper though.

I actually found The Girl Who Knew Too Much a fun little thriller. It looks great and there are some moments of real supsense. I haven't watched it in a little while but I remember having liked it alot after I bought it :)

This is one of Bava's most underrated IMO. A great Hitchcockian style thriller. Well worth your time to seek out...The Image disc is great. Didn't know it was OOP though...glad I got mine a few years back :)

    Yes,it will be rereleased!

I just got a reply from Tim Lucas (took him 30 minutes to reply, great guy!).
I asked him if there was ever English audio recorded for the film.
    Here's his answer:
So,not only he answers my question,he also answers the title of the thread!:D:banana:
So if I can find the Image disc cheap (and I mean cheap!) I'll buy it.But if I don't,I'll wait for Anchor Bay.

Thanks for the info Crystal Plumage, I've been considering the same thing -- knowing as soon as I invested in the Image OOP version, they'd announce another release. I've been dying to get this one to complete my Bava collection. I really appreciate people like Tim Lucas and what he's done for great filmmakers like Mario Bava, a cinematic genius, IMO.
