I'm dying to see some of the post apocalyptic cheese classics get DVD treatment. (The Bronx Warriors, Escape from the Bronx, Warriors of the Wasteland, and Exterminators of the Year 3000.):D Any hope?

I'm surprised that Dawn of the Mummy hasn't seen a DVD release yet. Sure the film is slooow, but when the "mummies" attack, it's all good fun.

    Mark - I completely agree!

from what i hear 1990 The Bronx Warriors, Escape from the Bronx, and After the Fall of New York (my personal fav) have all been nabbed for US DVD. I have no sort of timeframe for their release though. Rats Is coming out next month from Anchor Bay.

Haven't heard shit about Dawn of the Mummy yet. Fun film too, I used to own the japanese tape but sold it because i assumed it'd make a hasty appearance Stateside. No such luck.

i'm really surprised Iron master hasn't popped up on cheapo DVD yet, it was on plenty of budget vhs labels. I'm sure Diamond will have it out someday...

Good taste - After The Fall of New York is my favorite also, I desperately need to replace my worn out VHS.

Rats starts as essentially a standard postnuke tale of marauding gangs pillaging a deserted cityscape while on the run from radiation-suited authority figures, with the big twist being that once night falls the group is besieged by flesh-hungry rats!

Fast paced fun with tons of hilarious dialogue, some gore, and a goofy twist ending (compromised slightly by Vestron's US box art) rank this one as a highly recommended treat for trashfiends.

Not wanting to cross swords with bruce h. But I found RATS very boring, the music was kind of fun and the cinematography by Franco Delli Colli (DJANGO KILL) was alot better than Mattei deserved. But overall it was a very poor film. Before anyone starts jumping up and down, and getting upset, I will just say that I am not one of Mattei's fans.

You just mentioned one of my guilty pleasures. Cheesy post-apocalyptic films. I have a bunch of obscure ones like Survival Zone, No Blade of Grass, The Aftermath, Warlords of the 21st Century. I love these films!!

I saw on amazon that Castellari's "New Barbarians" was supposed to be coming out as a cheapy, but I think it's one of those discs that they have on perma-backorder.
