Yep, Scream strikes again! The outdid Arrow with their Phantom of the Paradise as well!

They seem to share extras, and are region locked to their areas. They both try to offer the best version for their regions. Whomever comes out later usually has the better release, although I would still take Scream's Price films just because they have the rare Price intros to the film which in my opinion usurp are talking head docs.

Watched Without Warning for the first time a few days ago... fucking snoozefest.

And to think I was considering a blind buy.

I think reviewers should drop the "Presented in Full 1080p" reference as it's now completely unnecessary, just like saying newer movies are in color. Also, they didn't say whether or not there's a difference between the Arrow and Shout releases. They're from the same master but there was at least one instance where the other label's release was better overall (LIFEFORCE). I still haven't watched my Arrow copy of Motel Hell but I may still grab this as I love the film enough to double dip. .

I was able to get the Phantom Blu at the Shout Factory booth this weekend, before it sold out.

Thanks for this, I was considering doing the same-will pass now.
I knew there was a reason that even though I had the VHS as a child I could not remember a damned thing about it.
Will save up for Legend of Hell House instead.

    Heads up:

    Leviathan pre-order

    Amazon $15.89

    Blowitoutahere $15.13

Obviously if you have Prime, the better deal is Amazon.

I was interested in buying Without Warning based purely on the poster art, but after watching the trailer, all I can say is "Wow, that looks like total shit, and not in a good way". If a trailer can't sell a film without making it look somewhat professional (or fun) then you just know that it's going to have problems.

You could say that about all the new movies at the multiplexes currently. I do. All that crap orange/teal/gray photography, doofus humor and brooding boring ass super heroes. But I enjoy some of 'em when I catch on Netflix.
Without Warning is not the action hit of the century. It never was - it was savaged in 1980 as Without Warning and again in 1981 as It Came...Without Warning. But it has its fans who just like it and appreciate it as is. Kinda like now.

Let me put it this way, trailers in general will use the most exciting parts of the movie and often spoil the ending (but if you haven't seen the movie yet then you probably wouldn't catch on to it). If this is the best trailer the producers could come up with then what hope is there? That alien limply tossing a rubber frisbee at the end is ultra lame. Even as a monster kid in the 80s I would've opted to watch something else. I'm positive of it.

Warning Sign was a cable favorite - I used to watch that one all the time late nights on HBO. Good flick.

Nostalgia factor is just about the only reason I can see anyone liking Without Warning. I have a hard time believing it has any fans.

I would WARN against blind buying this movie. Especially with SF's prices...

Oh I placed an order for this....should I cancel? I might. It was $18.99. I don't normally blind buy stuff anymore but I thought since this was a lost gem...maybe it's not so much of a "gem".
