That was made in 1999. I was asking for everyone's thoughts on the wave of remakes made in this decade. I love The Haunting from 1963 but still am afraid to watch the remake.

That was a stinker, that's for sure.

I went with The Fog as I found it almost entirely without merit. Most of the other movies up there I either like, love, or am ok with because the house it was shot in was just incredible. Plus, there were those automatic lights.

I haven't seen The Wicker Man yet, so perhaps I should have waited before I voted. However, if the rumors are true, it sounds like that movie will be at least worth a few laughs.

I'll stand up for The Haunting. It does have gorgeous cinematography and sets and one of Jerry Goldsmith last great scores. Yes there are cringeworthy moments, but it's not nearly as awful as people say. I've always enjoyed it as a lightweight little horror film.

(But yes, the special effects heavy final third of the film does bug me to no end ...)

I haven't seen them all, but I would have voted for Dawn of the Dead.

i loved the hills have eyes remake, and liked the TCM remake well enough. the only other one i've seen is the Amityville Horror, and that was atrocious, so that got my vote.

Wait to see The Fog before voting. It'll win. Or save yourself the pain and just vote for The Fog and avaoid it at all costs.

I hate The Fog with all my heart...but I had to go with Amityville...simply because I expected a little more from it. I knew that The Fog was gonna blow goats...but I was really hoping to enjoy Amityville.

Of the ones that I've seen [never saw the STRANGER or WICKER MAN remakes], I guess AMITYVILLE is probably worse. THE FOG just kind of gave me the "Eh, whatever" reaction.

My vote went to THE FOG even though I didn't think it was all that horrible. It's funny THE FOG got so many votes here yet didn't make the Hall Of Shame :D

I've seen all those films (except TCM - I refuse to see it) and The Fog wins easily. I liked The Hills Have Eyes remake, it was quite good.
