I can't decide between The Fog (2005) and April Fool's Day (2008). Both were terrible. Psycho (1998) is pretty bad too (mostly because Anthony Perkins isn't playing Norman Bates) but at least it's somewhat watchable, unlike the previous two I mentioned.

AFD 2008. Boring, unimaginative and simply run of the mill. No entertainment. Obnoxious. I could go on, but...

I enjoyed the Texas Chainsaw remake the first time I saw it. Then I watched it again and realized how very wrong I was the first time around. Didn't mind The Hills Have Eyes although I felt they really softened it up by removing some of the most disturbing elements of the original. Other than these two, I absolutely hated every other remake that I've seen on this list. My vote goes to The Fog for turning a revenge tale into a fucking love story. WHAT the fucking fuck is that?!

The PSYCHO remake was so utterly pointless.

The Amityville Horror remake actually made me angry while watching it. WTF adding a J-horror ghost to the story and claim it's a more accurate version of what happened than the '79 movie?!

And while I love seeing a half-naked Ryan Reynolds as much as the next homo it just felt like an excuse for him to show off his newly gym-sculpted body. The character is supposed to feel a demonic chill the entire time he's in the house yet he always manages to be shirtless and wet.

Can't think of a single redeeming quality in either Prom Night or The Fog.

The Omen - they could never improve on the original.

Man, I can't even bring myself to watch The Stepfather remake. Just viewing the trailer alone was enough to kill any inquisitiveness.

But yeah, Prom Night was a steaming pile of...

Hands down, Psycho remake. Not only did it blow, but it was shot for shot, and why remake a classic like Psycho. I know why, for money.

Oh, I forgot about Prom Night remake. I take back my comment of Psycho, that was the 2nd worst remake. I went to see the Prom Night remake the day after it came out with my soon to be husband, and the movie theater we were in was about 90% teenagers, with their cell phones on, texting, and yelling at the screen. They probably thought this was an original movie, that it was not a remake, and it was a remake in name only. And it was a steaming pile of ****.

After watching the Fog remake, I thought I had gone as low as anyone could. The worst movie ever, but alas, only to that point.

The Prom Night remake was special in that I have never seen a movie suck as much. The dude puts on a fucking hat in an office building and disappears? Nigga please, didn't this have that line about "this party's crazy, but in a good way" then someone runs by yelling about flushing frozen burritos down the toliet, or was that April Fools Day (also bad, but a fucking masterwork compred to Prom Night)?

They were onto something with The Fog, but to see it be replaced after such a short rein on the worst ever list is kinda sad. To think the remake of Hills Have Eyes and even it's sequel are light years better is staggering.

No need for Piranha or Sorority Row to even be up there, those redos were fun and don't deserve any votes with all the shit they are up against.

Although the other films on there might have all the earmarks of a worse film I had to go with Psycho. It was one of the first, shot-for-shot and was done as an artistic exercise to make the original more palatable for modern audiences. Like colorizing wasn't enough, nothing could save the original.

If someone has a new spin on an old take, I can live with that. Worked for The Thing, The Fly, and many others. Even Hitchcock remade several of his films. But if someone thinks they can do it all better than Hitchcock just by doing it again, walking on the set and doing another take almost, then they can burn in Hell.

Psycho was not only bad but totally unnecessary
The Fog and The Amityville Horror were pretty bad too
Prom Night and April Fools Day werent really remakes-different films with the same name
The only true remake was the Hills Have Eyes

I haven't seen most of these, so I can't vote. But, after the critical bashing it got, I was surprised that "Wicker Man" didn't pop up on the list. Just thought I'd mention that.

I voted Texas Chainsaw Massacre, but to be honest I also completely hate Halloween and Hills Have Eyes. Those three are at the very bottom of the shitpile.
