Every one loves a good cheesy horror flick, right? Then what about those bizarre sequels, the ones that take a tangent off of the original into something both original and odd? Or the ones that completely piggyback on the original? Vote for the worst sequel here!

The Hills Have Eyes 2 (Original) isn't even good-bad, except for the dog flashback. Wes Craven seemed to be creatively bankrupt at that point in time. An awful movie, and a terrible sequel to a classic. Nauseatingly bad direction, especially the "fight" scenes and kills. Poor form, Craven.

I went with Other: The Hills Have Eyes 2 (remake). I am sure the original sucks too, but I haven't seen it.

If I had to go with those listed, I would've picked The Howling 2: Your Sister Is a Werewolf. Man those Howling sequels are terrible.

Friday the 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan

It was so disappointing. They added a backstory to connect the main character to Jason, but it contradicts the rest of the series. The makeup was horrible...I don't think I can go on because I'll just end up listing everything about the movie followed by "...was horrible".

Agreed. There was nothing redeeming about Demons "3". The cheese reeked, and not in a good way :eek2:

I love almost all these bad sequels, but yeah, Craven's isn't even good-bad. What was he thinking? Bikers? Dogs with total recall? Michael Berryman coming back to life? Just a painful thing to watch.

I almost forgot to throw Demons 3 in the list too until I was trying to think of bad sequels. Most boring way to throw away $10, IMO.

In my opinion Nightmare on Elm Street 5 was ok. It definitely isn't near the top of the series, but I thought 2 and Freddy's Dead were much worse.

I voted for Jason Takes Manhattan... horrible stuff. I almost voted for SNDN 2, but then I remembered that most of the movie is comprised of scenes from the original, which I love.

I actually like Howling II, The Hills Have Eyes 2 and Sleepaway Camp 3 quite a bit. And Troll 2, of course. :D

I haven't seen a lot of those films, but the only one I truly hate is The Ring 2.

There were some original bits too. And they were pretty swell!

Most of the ones I've seen from the list I actually like.

Hellraiser 3 was the first Hellraiser that I saw so it has a special place in my heart, plus it had Paula Marshall in it.
NOES: Dream Child used to be one of my most watched.
    Shark Attack 3 is golden.
Howling 2 is my favourite from the series. I admit it was bad, but gloriously so.
Friday13: JTM wasn't that bad for me. It was a Friday movie so I liked it.
    Child's Play 3 wasn't a good movie but it's watchable. Mostly.
Fright Night 2 I really don't remember but I don't think I hated it or anything.
Sleepaway Camp 3 is a personal favourite.....

I guess out of that list the one that I've seen that's the worst is Hills Have Eyes 2. I have such a hard time making it through that one.

Really though, Freddy's Dead should be on the list.

I have to diagaree with you guys, this up there and is good-bad all the way through. Just a marvelous train-wreck of a film and probable influence on the great director's of our time, like Uwe Boll!

I had missed this for years too, but it's been on cable for the last few months, which is where I finally caught up to it on dark and stormy night. I hadn't laughed that hard since Shark Attack 3. Maybe I just in the perfect mood, but it deserves some gold cheese slices and should be required viewing for everyone on the boards. You don't have to like it, but it must be seen. Dog flashback, what more can I possibly say?

Think I'll have to vote for Howling 2 from this list (kinda shocked Zombie's Halloween hasn't been added to the list, seeing all the love it's got in it's own threads:rolleyes: ). The subtitle "Your Sister is a Werewolf" is fucking great though.:D
