The Stand a horrible film??? Hell no, not by a long shot in my opinion! The Stand is one of the best King films, and is a classic all the way.

I voted other because of "Sleepwalkers". It might have been a good adaptation from a shitty story, or did King write it specifically for the screen? Anyways that's my choice.

I think King should stick to writing books because he definitely does not know how a decent horror movie works. If he did, he would never in a million years allow his novels to be transformed into the TV movie of the week. True, most of his TV movies are worse than Sleepwalkers but that's kind of a given isn't it? In order to be suitable for broadcast, the makers need to water everything down. In a way I have to dismiss them almost entirely. Out of his films that I've actually paid to go see, Sleepwalkers is by far the worst!

Why is TRUCKS and MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE together? Sure, they're both adaptions from the same stroty, but they are both 2 different movies. TRUCKS sucked ass while MAXIMUM OVERDRIVE rocks! Come on! Bad acting, music by AC-DC, trucks blowing up, and cheesey lines. "We made you! We made you!"
    BANG! BANG! BANG!:D So funny!

I voted for The Mangler, because not voting for it in any "worst" poll just seemed all kinds of wrong.

I voted Thinner but I haven't seen some of the movies on that list, so perhaps my opinion will change.

Oh and I thought that Carrie remake was a pile of shit, too.

Haven't seen all of them so I'll hold my vote.
Thinner sucked for the most part, but did have it's moments where I was getting into it.
Apt Pupil would've sucked, but Ian McKellen saved it with an awesome performance.
Max Overdrive is way too fun. I've never bothered with Trucks cuz it just reeks of shit just by looking at the box.
Storm Of The Century. I did fall asleep watching, but woke up and rewound. Great series, but week predictable ending.
Rose Red, that might get my vote.

i voted for other meaning the dead zone movie utter piece of garbage

    night flier
    maximum overdrive
    graveyard shift
those 3 should not even be on this list

  12. I find it funny that Storm of the Century was voted for once and is even on the list, considering it's not an adaptation of King's work. It was written for TV.

I voted for Tommyknockers, the other stuff on that list (while still bad) is stuff I enjoy watching.

I voted for CHILDREN OF THE CORN, with PET SEMATARY not far behind...horror movies about children are hard to make scary, but these two were just plain ridiculous...

I had to go with GRAVEYARD SHIFT(or "GRAVEYAAAAD SHIFT",as one charecter kept saying in a lame accent). It narrowly beat out THE MANGLER for me.Of the tv King stuff,I thought GOLDEN YEARS was pretty weak, with sub Ed Wood sets.

All of the above. Stephen King's The Stand and Salem's Lot are excellent books. The rest while good all seem to lose steam in the end. Most of these deserve a remake.
