If this does get digital altered, I doubt anyone will care. It won't be a noticeable change, and it's not a huge hit movie. In a few years we'll have all forgot about it if it gets quietly changed now. That said, I'm gonna go watch it and take a screen shot of the issue, cuz I can!

I don't understand why they had to use anything like this anyway. Just photoshop some head=shots the studio already own, or fake -up some pictures of extras. They almost deserve headaches for being lazy up front, no need for shit like this to even happen. Of course I'm sure if they thought about it at all, they thought "what are the odds anyone who knows this person will even see this flick?"

That's why I bought one copy while some friends bought multiples. I figure worst case scenario, I watch it a couple of times and sell it for whatever I can get. Will keep it sealed for a little while to see how this lawsuit plays out.

O.K. hope this doesn't bring up any lawsuits. Here's the offending picture with notes to fun stuff. 1 is the problem, 2 is the hidden joke.

Story checks out though, googled the name from the article and found the same picture.
Is it just me, or does "Agnes Fields" look a lot like Helen Mirren? More lawsuits? Stay tuned!:D

Yeah, they passed a 66 year old woman off as an 81 year old man. Cuz 81 yr old men are impossible to find photos of, cameras don't pick up anything over 80!:D

Despite looking like Helen, "Agnes" is actually a credited role for Josie Kidd, her head-shot in my dvdprofiler checks out.:D

Disappearing fast indeed - I luckily just ordered an onsite pickup Blu at Walmart right near my office for $17. All other stores within a 60 mile radius seem to be out of stock.

Since this film has a rep for being shitty, I'm just curious are most buying to keep sealed in hopes of reselling or actually watching it?

I got one thru five already on Blu, so I'm just completing the circle. I'm sure I'll enjoy the film on some level.

I got mine before any of this news started. I'm a fan of the series and have no intentions of selling. I bought it because I wanted to see the movie, and to support it because I want them to make more.

Cool, I tore it open last night and gave it a watch.
Honestly I don't get all the hate. It's definitely not a cerebral horror film, but I enjoyed it in the same way I did the last Texas Chainsaw.
One of the main criticisms I've seen leveled at this film is the overabundance of sex that makes it feel like a porno movie. What? WHAT!?! Wasn't sex and nudity an intrinsic part of this genre before it became a teen friendly form of almost satirical entertainment.
I'm not saying it's good, and what brought it down most for me was the high school play level acting. Sadie Katz in particular while not without sex appeal offered a pretty over the top and ridiculous performance, ditto the main male lead. There was also a cringe worthy scene reminiscent of the recent horror outing 'Inbred', which I think may have been a bit of an influence here.
It was also a bit slow and a little too void of kills for the first third.
What distinguished the first Wrong Turn was a pretty decent cast. Rollins in part II made it a pretty kick ass action film with ample gore. Never saw III. Thought Bloody Beginnings was quite decent. Part V was just awful for me. All in all, this could have been much worse and as a sleazy, exploitation film you could not ask for much more from this franchise.
    Just an opinion.

So, minor Walmart scare - once I purchased for local store pickup I got a note later that night stating it wasn't available and would be shipped to the store from wherever. I thought for sure I'd get an "This item is currently out of stock" follow up email, but much to my surprise I got a shipping notification. It should be in my hands tomorrow!

There's still 7 copies at Best Buy here. I asked my neighbor who is manager there if he heard anything about a recall, and he hasn't. Strange it disappeared from the web but still is in stores. Wal-Mart still has a couple copies too. Maybe the ones in stores will be the last of em, but hopefully common sense prevails, a small likeness and "pain and suffering" fee is paid to the offended family, and life goes on.

Or, it gets recalled and never re-issued, making it a disc people care about by being rare and collectible. I would think at worst they digtize the image to someone else and re-issue it, then no one will notice or care.

That costs money. What do we think they percentage of lifetime sales for a title like WT6 happen in the first few weeks? If the percentage is high I could see this film disappearing forever.

Got mine in the mail today, but the scumbags won't let me redeem the Digital HD code!
